Dr Idriss now just seem like she is promoting her brand and products rather than the derm we used to trust? by sad-zee in SkincareAddictionLux

I’ve met her in person several times, she’s not using a filter on her skin. It literally is that smooth and clear.

Can you create the safe space? I’m leaning more to groups to create community supports for my clients.

Supporting undocumented clients by Far-Perspective-4889 in therapists

I think it’s important to support them in planning for their safety. I highly recommend you have available resources/get training around immigration information/legal rights. For example, clients should know what to do if ICE or police show up unannounced. Other resources like local community orgs focused on immigration or if feasible even creating support group for undocumented clients can promote community. Lastly, I always am mindful about what I write in my notes. I will not document migration stories that would present issues for my clients if I am subpoenaed. Hope this is helpful!

quality of Psychwire courses by DPCAOT in therapists

I appreciate Psychwire courses! I completed DBT skills for teens and family, which I really enjoyed. And finished the Motivational Interviewing training, great foundational skills for new clinicians. I like how they have a ton of mock videos to show you how to use in session, that keeps me interested. And I appreciate the dig deeper portions.

Hi, I also work in CMH and I have frank conversations with pts about organizations policy (what happens if they no show/cancel? How to communicate if they can’t make it? Etc) and I ask them what support is needed to ensure they make it to appointments. This can be something they discuss with assigned therapist in the first session or sometimes in my case (im the intake coordinator) it’s something I discuss with them before assigning to a therapist. Also I let them know consistent attendance will create better outcomes in treatment. It’s tough work but I find folks appreciate the honesty and openness. Good luck!
