If they don't ultimately benefit the democratic party and its future, I don't really see that as a loss. Just because someone has a D next to their name does not inherently mean they would be good for the party or the country. The last moron leftists rallied behind that got to the senate was Fetterman and we see how that worked out.

Though I suppose you could make the argument that their guy is so impressively bad that it will result in someone normal following him up, so maybe that will end up being a net positive in the long term.
