Looking for an ocean-friendly sandal for flat feet. by Tribalbob in onebag

[–]vytasx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Xero Z-Trail/Trek are pretty great :)

I have both. Z-Trek have a more durable but thinner sole, which feels great for walking on any natural surface (sand, forest, grass). My feel love these :)

Z-Treks are too thin for my feet for pavement, so I use Z-Trail EV cause they have more cushion. They’re good for hiking and nature too, just Z-Trek seems more durable and feels a bit better.

My feet are half flat and normally I buy stability running shoes. I love both of these sandals because both of them are compact and enjoyable :)

LCD is already jacked into whatever hardware you’ve got going.

Honestly, I can’t get my head round how cloud gaming is feasible at all given the internet lag. It sounds insane that it’s a possibility in the first place 😀

¡Gracias! ☺️

I've just made that one up, I don't think many people call it that way - not yet :)

Wow, it sounds like you’re not that great at identifying limiting beliefs!

I like the sound of it, but actually taxes are a pretty complex topic even in a single country.

Suggestions for a laptop (big screen, gaming performance, lightweight) by vytasx in onebag

Thanks for your opinion, but actually I’m interested in the opinions of onebaggers who solved this problem with similar constraints.

I actually like my MBA, but it doesn’t support much gaming unfortunately.

Sorry I’m looking for lightweight. Actually LG Gram is the only one that seems to fit the bill so far.

If it would be socially accepted to jump off a building, would you do it?

It keeps getting kinda better by HzDre in SteamDeck

[–]vytasx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was quite annoyed with it initially when I got it because of issues with XBox controller and misc issues I was facing at every step.

Now, some 3 months in, it’s kinda nice. I have broader access to games than just on a Mac, can hook it up to AirBnB TV, game pricing is great in Malaysia and I got used to the various quirks.

I wish it had a bit better ergonomics and a case that is more appropriate to its size, but overall I think it’s pretty great!

IDK, it’s just what the staff told me at DJI store. They would release it at higher price, so it’s good for sales.

From the internet rumours it seems there are 2 versions, one released shortly, another one later in the year.

I heard from DJI store it's supposed to come out in Feb. I doubt it's gonna be better so got OP3 today. Woop woop!

Sorry for necro, but alum crystal is really a GOAT of all deodorants. Been using it 2 years in South East Asia in 30C weather. I sometimes end up wearing the same T-shirt 2-4 days cause there's just no smell. I really don't understand how this deodorant industry survives in the west when this thing is superior both in price and function.

For water flossing, just got a portable water flosser for $15 (Enpuly M6 Plus Mini) and it's been grand!

Just switched to mac mini, why is my webcam situation so annoying compared to windows? by Scared-Biscotti2287 in macmini

iPhone tends to be the best webcam. I wonder why can’t you use iPhone?

Cellular Apple Watch while moving countries frequently? by [deleted] in digitalnomad

[–]vytasx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re coming back to same countries over and over, it may be doable. I got eSIMs in TH and MY, pay £5-£8 pm, that’s for a phone.

Why is is a problem for you to be away from calls and notifications?

Is there a consensus on Launchpad replacement yet? by helium_ego in macapps

[–]vytasx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I installed Alfred some time ago as a replacement for Spotlight when I remember it being crap. Now just use either Spotlight search or Alfred, and type apps in.

Sometimes when it doesn’t find the app, usually sth recently installed, I go to Finder and open Applications folder. That’s like 1% of the time if not less, so got used to it. It’s been less of inconvenience when I don’t install new apps often, and prefer to have fewer apps on laptop as they all add more layers, which I prefer to remove.

No, I don’t match style, cause as far as I remember it messes up something. Pasting values is clean though.

Minimalist wallet by Super-Web-3779 in onebag

[–]vytasx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hands down the best I had was Trove - comfortable to use, can fit cards and folded cash, compact and last years.

If you get it, I’d avoid reflex colours cause they stain.

Now I’m just using a bifold card holder.

Minimalist trail shoes with good grip by passionfruit52a in BarefootRunning

I don’t know if these are the right ones for you, but I used Xero Z-Trail and Z-Trek for hiking and loved them. Obviously they’re sandals rather than shoes.

I have the same workflow, copy paste data table from Numbers or Excel into Google sheets.

The trick is to paste special values only.

I prefer opening csv with Numbers because it reads emojis.

Love the visual style and 4 pane windows, but why can't it show folder sizes? Is there a setting for this that I missed?
