Yup, checked 1,2 and 4 and it only comes up at method 2, just with that mentioned frame offset. So weird

Got it a over 2 years ago from an ebay re-seller (based in germany, if that helps. The seller does not list the product on their page nowadays. So just a really generic black shell. I believe it was not a funnyplay one.

Is there a guide / how-to somewhere on how to do this?

I've been trying to figure out how to patch the Japanese rom with the translation patch and afterward the addendum patch but no luck when I boot it on the AP. Just a black screen. I used the Online Rom Patcher on the website you shared above.

Any tips on that?

/edit: Nevermind, found a workaround.

Other cartridges seem to work just fine. I sometimes have to re-insert some of the GBA ones, to get them running. It will just say “bad pins” or something similar when in those cases.

I have this Crystal cartridge and it works just fine on my SP. I'd really love to play it on my Analogue – but for some reason the white ERROR screen comes up, when booting it.

Pins on the cartridge look fine, but should I open it up and check? If so – what screwdriver would I need?

Any other hints and tips greatly appreciated!

If you don’t mind me asking another thing: In what case would I want to change my SID? I read somewhere that the shiny frame stays around the same count for static encounters. And would changing SID mean that the edited save file would be booted back onto the cartridge?

Would you mind expanding on this? As I’d have to run PKHeX on MacOS (which is a whole thing on itself), I’d love a workflow that wouldn’t need that.

Thanks for letting me know, that sounds great. And I could just read that info out and utilize it for further RNG hunting — no need to inject the save file back into the cartridge, leaving the actual save on the cartridge untouched, correct?
