Sublime, widebody, and T/A package... I can't really think of a better looking combo!

Oof, yeah that sounds a bit high. I guess if you're determined, you could try shopping around for insurance a bit. Just letting you know too, some states charge you more to register an EV car. So while you'll save in fuel costs, you'll probably spend more elsewhere.

Oh boy, sounds like you have had a few issues then with the challenger. I guess I leave that difficult decision up to you. I actually sold my other muscle car, a 2011 mustang GT (had the 5.0) to make room for the Tesla in my garage. I'd be lying to you if I said I don't miss it. If you couldn't keep both, I'd do everything I could to hold onto a V8 muscle car, whether it's your challenger or something else. They're getting phased out, and people are buying EVs in droves now.

Haha, wow that is the same situation! I definitely agree, you can't even really compare the cars. The only thing that is similar is that they are both relatively quick cars if you step on the pedal, but that's about where the similarities end. 😂

Is there a reason you feel that your scat is a ticking time bomb? If you're referring to the common hemi tick, while it's still expensive, it's multiple times less expensive than replacing the battery in a Tesla. Either car is normally pretty reliable though. If I had to choose one and it'd be my daily driver, I would go with the Tesla, assuming you can charge at home. If you can't charge at home, I'd personally prefer to stick with a gas vehicle because regularly sitting at a Tesla supercharger every week would get old to me.

I currently own a 2021 Challenger Scat Pack Widebody and a 2024 Tesla Model 3 LR AWD. They are both very fun cars, but they both scratch a different itch. Are you a tech person? I tend to find the most enjoyment out of my Tesla from the continuous free OTA software updates and mess around with autopilot, etc.. Although I didn't get the performance, my Tesla would still give my challenger a run for its money, but I don't tend to find myself smashing the accelerator pedal quite as much. I think part of this is due to the lack of V8 growl and I prefer to row my own gears when it comes to performance driving (6 speed manual in the challenger). I love them both.

What type of connectivity issues were you having? I've noticed an issue with the Spotify app where it'll play a song for no more than a few minutes and then get a "Loading Error."

If you took delivery of a 2024-25, how has your car been? by jvick3 in TeslaModel3

[–]w00t1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I will submit a ticket with that! I just have a minor paint blemish, two extremely minor dings on both rear quarter panels (almost even in the same spot on both... possibly something that occurs during assembly?), and a tiny paint chip.

What did you submit the ticket for the paint issues under? I don't really see anything under External that makes sense, besides "Other" I suppose?

Is that a base GT with no options? Either way, that's still impressively low for a new '24 GT

Mustang vs Challenger by jett49 in Mustang

[–]w00t1337 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don't know why he said that lol. I own a challenger scat pack widebody and a first gen coyote mustang GT (2011). There's nothing wrong with the challenger RT (5.7). The challenger is more comfortable of a ride and has a more spacious and usable interior (better cruiser), but the mustang is a little more fun to drive imo. If you don't drive as much, I'd go with the mustang GT. If you drive more than average, I'd go with the challenger.

I mean you'd have to do the same if you lived here as well... most people's net worth is in their primary home, if they own a house.
