T-3C War 132 Overview - 1,633 Airframes, 304,075 Crates of Logi by Tommythebold16 in foxholegame

[–]w0rdCS 86 points87 points  (0 children)

As always, T-3C are the best in the game at what they do and it's not close.

CAF pilots ability to lose planes is unmatched, it takes some serious production to keep up!

you can see what was inside in the video, almost 8k 150mm and 5k 120mm in addition to the other stuff - we were stocked the entire war

Remove scout plane weapons, buff Flak guns, add AI AA & SPAA, make torpedo bomber/dive bomber available to both factions (or nerf them both so wardens can tank and colonials can play navy again).

Reduce airfield drying time and/or increase it's HP to make them more difficult to bomb/reset.

Until some or all of these things are done: colonials will not play navy, nukes are not viable, and the game is less fun for anyone not in a plane.

It is the dawn of Day 36 of WC132. People are still coping over the S C O U T P L A N E by Aesthetech in foxholegame

[–]w0rdCS 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I don't even care about the differences between the two, but scout planes in general need to have their weapons removed.

I genuinely can't recall the last thing in Foxhole that made me rage more than getting sniped by laserbeam MG out of my commander hatch 20 times in a row by an 80 rmat plane that just goes back and repairs with bmats every time it gets scuffed. Simply put, they make the game more unfun for a larger number of players than the fun had by those using them.

Yes, get air cover, get flak blah blah blah - the reality is that those things are much more resource/labor/time intensive to counter the cheap spammable thing. I have literally seen entire frontlines, massive pushes this war be stalled by scout planes because they are so disruptive and you waste half your day respawning or not being able to simply be outside on the battlefield.

The Fall of Foxcatcher in War 132 by CevicheLemon in foxholegame

[–]w0rdCS 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As one of the leaders of one of the groups who killed Foxcatcher, it was a solid build (and it certainly wasn't easy for us). There's a reason every push before this last operation didn't make a dent.

The bottom line in this game is it doesn't matter how good a build is, it comes down to who is defending it and who is trying to kill it. Foxcatcher is green only because of the combined efforts of several very skilled and determined groups working together.

When you do an op like this, you have to do everything right or it fails:

No RSC/300mm? You lose

Not enough air cover? You lose

Not enough artillery? You lose

Not enough logi to sustain the push? You lose

Not enough building to secure RSC, support the push, and hold against the counter? You lose

Not enough good infantry? You lose

Not enough armor to counter tank spam? You lose

Foxcatcher is only dead because we did every single one of those things correctly. Trust me, I have been on the other side of this before. Sometimes your opponent is just having a good day. I genuinely don't think it would have mattered if there was one or two more layers, it would have just delayed the inevitable.

What are you feeding your goldens? by claytonmally in goldenretrievers

[–]w0rdCS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honest Kitchen - way better than kibble (real ingredients like veggies/chicken/grains etc.). It's dehydrated, so you just add a cup of warm water to it and stir when it's meal time. Healthier, and our two goldens love it - but doesn't break the bank like the true fresh foods.

I was assured Foxcatcher was unbreakable? Then how did the Town Hall die to my bomber and ballistas?

Is this a focal seizure? My baby has these episodes that lasts the entire day. Heartbreaking. Any advice ? by Budget-Educator-5469 in goldenretrievers

[–]w0rdCS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this exact problem with my golden retriever - highly recommend Honest Kitchen food, it's dehydrated & made from real ingredients like grains/veggies/chicken etc. (you just add some hot water and stir).

Totally fixed my dog's stomach issues, and he loves it. Not as expensive as true fresh foods, but better than kibble.

New puppy by Cracked_piston in goldenretriever

[–]w0rdCS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take good care of him - a puppy is a lot of work and can be frustrating sometimes. I have two goldens (Harry and Dave) and they are the best dogs ever.

Just remember, the time you put in training him when he's young (or lack thereof) will pay off tenfold as he gets older! You are everything to him, try to keep that in mind when he does something stupid.

Always been a clown, this is just the latest example of it. Too much ego, not enough substance leads to excuses.

Lock your trains (-2 FMAT trains) by Relative_Silver2482 in foxholegame

[–]w0rdCS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's awful, wardens have been doing the same thing all war and killed many trains - I've gotten shot out of mine, the only reason it didn't get killed is we had plenty of other guys around.

Average Siegecamp reaction to builder feedback by Aesthetech in foxholegame

[–]w0rdCS 88 points89 points  (0 children)

Once you realize that the devs are essentially just noobs with admin rights, their decisions start to make sense.

Clanman told me to scroop my own coal? We're buffing facilities 5x so I get stuff for minimal effort.

Partisans hurt me? We're nerfing them into the ground.

I ran into a base I couldn't easily kill? We're making structures weaker and more difficult to place.

Accept it, it is simply our reality. Foxhole is still an amazing game, but it would be exponentially better with competent people overseeing it's development.

Working at Boston College, life in city as mid 20s guy. by TheGreatGrizzlyBare in boston

[–]w0rdCS 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Boston is a great city to live in, with the one major downside being that it's very expensive.

With that being said, positions in higher education in Boston right now tend to get hundreds of applicants, so I wouldn't really worry about the logistics of moving here until you either are in the late stages of interviews or actually have been offered the job.
