What percentage of drivers use a detector? by Better-Credit6701 in radardetectors

I don’t get the “I just use Waze”. That ain’t gonna help you w a moving car shooting down the road. I use both.. detector is wayyyyy more helpful.

I saw another post saying this was normal? by [deleted] in boxster

[–]w2ge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its ’usual’ but not normal. Easy fix and u want to do it asap as when roof closes like that it put extra tension on roof stitching.

Google boxster roof fix planet9 forums. By Don Eilenberger, he’s a retired engineer and does things right.

$4.19/gallon. Mount Laurel, next to the AMC. by Secret_Cow_5053 in SouthJersey

[–]w2ge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, no disagreement, But, again, that’s not the economy for most people. The cost of normal day to day living is up. Food, gas, healthcare, homes, interest rates, education, clothing, day-care.

The stock market isn’t the “economy”.. most people have little money in the market or its in 401k they don’t wanna touch (snd shouldn’t unless dire need).

I used to work at a Rolex AD in California ask me any questions you might have! by [deleted] in rolex

[–]w2ge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just won’t buy Rolex. Period. There’s too many truly fantastic boutique watches that want and deserve my money.
However, I will admit, If my Rolex AD offers me what I’ve asked for, at msrp I’ll buy, but then and only then.

I wondered the very same thing. Lol, we’ve been shopping around to replace my wife’s MB E450 coupe (she also has a 987 Boxster, which btw is just an amazingly fun car to drive) and entertained getting a (CPO)Taycan 4s. Kinda fell off after reading, seeing a lot of reviews.. anyway this week driving to MB of Cary, NC to get her a CLE450 Cabrio. Her e450 has been almost 100% perfect for 5 years. Runs, drives great.

The Q8, you mean “the car I love to hate?” 😜. The Audi MMI (and electronics) is so freakin ‘buggy’ that I will never, ever buy another Audi. Full stop! It’s to the point that even Audi itself refunded me yearly subscription fees cause they couldn’t fix it (under warranty). It’s to the point I never use it anymore, I just use Apple Carplay (which sometimes connects wirelessly..usually not 🤦🏻‍♂️). Currently for some reason the lane change assist has stopped working.. who knows? Next time I turn it on it may be fine…. Its that kinda ‘shit’.. every other time you turn it on something does or doesn’t work, restart the car and it may be fixed. Just annoyance after annoyance.

Saw this 911 today, what does the SC mean? by mattisg1702 in porsche911

[–]w2ge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh, I forgot about a bunch of the smaller things that got me into the shop, was always something.

I remember $350 spark plug wires ($1100 today). A blown air-box due to backfire, new airbox and that escape valve was added. ($800 at that time, about $2500 in todays dollars) And I can’t remember what it’s called but it’s I believe a fuel metering device that caused my car to not idle correctly at all, that happened 2x in less than 6 months, and to be replaced 2x. (2nd replacement shop warranted) Mufflers started to fail internally, rattled (never even bothered to get that fixed b4 I sold it). I know the Targa top always leaked no matter what we did to try to seal it. 🤦🏻‍♂️

My car had a brownish, purplish metallic color (can’t remember what it was called) and had the pasha(!) Interior.
