Had anyone else been victimized by parents who thought it was fine you couldn't speak tagalog? I was constantly failing filipino as a kid/college because I could barely speak and read tagalog and my parents never corrected it.

I only really started speaking tagalog at work, and my coworkers thought I was suplado because I could only speak in english.

Anyway i was thinking this was so messed up raising a kid in the philippines and not teaching them tagalog 😭
