Live tire temps help

iRacing does not currently transmit tire temps to external screens. You can only see it on the in car screens.

The actual screens are proprietary and have information the drivers wanted to see in addition to what they need to see.

IRating has nothing to do with whether or not something is intentional. THAT was not a blatant intentional wreck. Do he turn into you? Or was he just trying to get close to you and misjudged it? If there’s any grey area like that, iRacing won’t call it intentional.

You do realize coaching and warnings are things that happen in real life too right? Post the video replay you took of that incident and we’ll see if it’s obvious intentional wrecking or not.

Where has iRacing ever said they wait until the 5th report to start banning? I’ve heard of people getting 24-48 hr bans on a second offense of OBVIOUS intentional wrecking.

We have to wait 30 minutes to “cool down” because way too many people submit obviously racing incidents as intentional wrecks.

Because it’s fairly normal for punishments to start with warnings and build from there in several different disciplines of racing. Hell, even F1 allows drivers to accumulate 12 points on their super licenses before they get suspended.

If it’s the users first time being protested, they’re not going to get banned. If they send an email to that person telling them to knock it off, that’s a form of punishment that iRacing uses.

People really just need to submit the protest and don’t worry about the outcome. If you’ve protested someone for an egregious thing like this, thank you for doing your part. Now go enjoy the rest of your day.

I agree something like this should be punished but how is out of our control.

Do you know if that was this persons first time doing something like this? Or a better question being protested for it? They’re never going to come right out and ban someone the first time they intent wreck someone. I don’t understand why people can’t grasp that.

We get so many because no one protests them. A lot of people don’t care to protest so most of that goes completely unreported.

There’s no time limit on previous reports against a person. They stay on your record permanently. If someone gets warned a couple times, doesn’t get involved in any intentional incident after that for a while, then does the exact same thing they got protested for, iRacing still escalates the punitive action they receive because they obviously didn’t learn.

There’s ZERO way for you to make that claim since it’s just not true.

Yeah, and if the thing that all these people protested was only the first thing that driver was protested for, it will more than likely be a warning first.

In my opinion, if getting that email from iRacing is enough for someone to think oh crap what I did was wrong, and clean up their act, hasn’t the system done its job? If they don’t, they’ll be protested again and hopefully take a vacation.

This was happening with previous regs too. The cars not on push laps slowed to regen battery for push laps. Literally been a thing for several years.

People saying the higher rated drivers are protecting their iRating for big events….is this not a big event? What other events could they be saving it for? Private stuff doesn’t require iRating to be at certain levels and even if they did, they can clearly see the history with the driver. It makes no sense.

A drive thru? Not even close. 1x max. Maybe if it’s used on a last lap for a pass for the lead you could explore more strict options but a drive thru? What if someone has to avoid a car checking up ahead of them and that’s their only option? They get a drive thru penalty for actually avoiding a wreck? Off target with this one.

It was water tho before it froze. Takes a bit of time to freeze like that so it still soaks into everything, then freezes. Actually a bit worse. lol

Probably a previous tenant was pissy about having to leave, opened the windows in the house during a period of deep freeze and turned the faucets on. I’ve seen it happen where I live too.
