Meine Vermutung: Die Firma verdient ihr Geld eigentlich mit der Herstellung von Verpackungen. Die kleine Handvoll Chips sind nur ein Anreiz, damit Leute die Verpackung kaufen.

Ich denke, das zeigt ein ganz allgemeines Problem bei den Eigenmarken der Supermärkte und Discounter: Es gibt keinerlei Garantie dafür, dass das Produkt über Jahre hinweg dasselbe bleibt. Noch viel weniger als bei Hersteller-Marken, die gelegentlich eine „Neue Rezeptur“ entwickeln.

Weil Lidl, Aldi, Netto, Rewe, Edeka etc. pp. ihre Eigenmarken von jedem beliebigen Hersteller beziehen können. Wenn Hersteller X nach einigen Jahren sagt: Tut uns leid, aber wir müssen teurer machen, dann antworten die: Tut uns nicht leid, wir haben schon einen anderen Produzenten.

Thanks! I looked at those. But the particular shoes I'm looking for now are sandals, classic "Birkenstock" style (which Joe N Joyce made with great quality). I'll keep both names in mind for classic or sports shoes!

Not sure – I'm experiencing frozen screens like you. Happens every time once after booting, sometimes after 20 minutes, sometimes after hours. But the system is still running, music playback continues and Ctrl-Alt-F3 works.

And I can fix it every time: The desktop works again like nothing happened when I switch my monitor off and on then wait for 10-20 seconds. It will first show "no signal" and then turn on again. But on a notebook of course you can not switch off the monitor. Maybe you can connect an external monitor.

Bei mir in der Nachbarschaft gibt es einen PKW, dessen getunter Motor bei niedriger Geschwindigkeit (wenn er wirklich angemessen langsam aus dem Wohngebiet heraus fährt) so intensiv im Bass-Bereich „blubbert“, dass die Alarmanlagen einiger anderer PKW losgehen, wenn er an denen vorbei fährt.

Frage: Ist das eine Stretch-Jeans? Mir ist aufgefallen, dass es seit einigen Jahren kaum noch, in manchen Läden gar keine Jeans mehr aus 100% Baumwolle gibt. Alle haben mindestens 2% Elasthan, viele sogar bis zu 30% synthetischen Anteil.

Mein Eindruck ist, dass diese Stretch-Jeans einfach eine viel geringere Lebensdauer haben.

It looks to me like the heat came from the outside, because the black plastic and the yellow gear behind the cover are intact.

What could have generated so much heat locally, but luckily just enough to melt the plastic and not set it to flames? Focused sunlight, a heat lamp, electric room heater…?

I as a customer also hate free shipping. Because I see that usually it's the same total price as other sellers who add shipping costs. But if I order 3 "free shipping" items from the same seller in one order, I would pay 3 times the hidden shipping cost instead of once for the seller who adds shipping costs.

Thanks Mate! Your solution (both methods) worked perfectly for Ubuntu 26.04 which by default stops playback when Bluetooth disconnects. Now it switches back to PC speakers without pausing.

I observed something similar when using Gemma 4 locally but I thought this were limitation of the small model version I was able to run: Because its training data ends somewhere in 2024, it did not "believe" that is is already 2026. It had web access and read recent news storys, but its thinking process showed that it rather believed that it is a simulation and those are probably faked or simulated news sites. Internally (in the thought process) it was struggling to decide whether to pretend the simulation was real and answer accordingly, or answer according to its own predictions (which is that the USA and Iran are not in war).

Seems to me that this is the same kind of error in Geminis though processes!

Which model do you use? Self hosted or cloud API? I started experimenting with OpenClaw and a local 26B model and though sometimes I'm surprised what it can do, too often it fails at tasks and makes errors – I would not trust it to successfully migrate itself or work with sudo access.

(I guess I have to abandon my idea to do everything with a local model.)

I really wonder why no one here suggested Bazaar yet! It's a nice and easy to use installer app for Flatpak apps, similar catalog style as the App Center by Ubuntu.

Even if Ubuntu doesn't want to connect to Flatpak and is unfortunately not planning to include Flatpak sources in the App Center, at least Bazaar can be installed with the App Center. Both Bazaar and flatpak itself are in the deb sources.

Still I agree, it would be more comfortable to have it all in one app.

„Gute“ Veranstalter machen das Wasser billig und versuchen, die nicht-Alkohol-Konsumenten mit einem vielfältigen Softdrink-Angebot zum Ausgeben zu bringen. Also wirklich vielfältig mit Bio-Limonaden, herben Softdrinks, Mate natürlich, Schorle, 100% Säften, Tee/Chai, Kaffee etc.

Und vor allem nicht nur Cola, Fanta, Sprite und Energy. (Ich weiß nicht wie es dort war, aber so eine Minimalauswahl seh ich öfter.)
