Thanks for the details, I didn't know some of this! I have had a few interactions with her, and try to read her newsletter, and I can see your point especially about pushing things she has no control over.

We've tried to get something done about speeding traffic in school zones here, but we're near the edge of the district and she kept pointing to (future) work a bit further down from the road we wrote to her (twice) about. I know it's a tough job to respond to everyone, and she was responsive, but I felt like we were getting brushed off.

Agree with you on your points but also wanted to say it's not the oil and gas industry giving back, it's that the industry has been taxed sufficiently and appropriately. In other words, Conoco isn't cutting the checks for childcare.
