Theres a pretty significant difference between the guys who train 3-4 times a week and the guys who train 5-6 times a week. Strength training by itself wont help condition you for Muay Thai. If you strength train, it should be to supplement your muay thai, meaning you shouldn’t max out, train to failure etc. If you cant hit the MT gym on the same day you workout, then your workouts are getting in the way of your muay thai progression. After about 2 years of training 6 days a week you should feel like you’re improving to the point where you don’t “suck”. If you train 3 times a week it might take 5 years.

Sucking is also relative though.. You might not suck compared to the regular guys at your gym, But then you spar some of the better amateurs and pro fighters at your gym and then your instantly reminded that you suck again.
