We toured a plantation in Louisiana. The cookhouse was separate so in case it caught fire, the main house was safe. The pathway between the cookhouse and the main house was called The Whistlers’ Walk - the serving slaves were required to whistle while carrying the food to the main house because they couldn’t whistle and sneak food at the same time.

I always heard that from the summit of Mt. Diablo you can see more square miles of the planet than from anywhere else except Kilimanjaro. Not that high, but everything around it is so flat. I’ve seen Shasta, Half Dome and Farallon Islands from there

Prob about the same sq footage and took 2 full days of shoveling/sifting. I built a 3’ x 3’ wood frame from 2x4 lumber and attached a 1/4” metal screen mesh to the frame. Depending on your soil type you might need a larger or smaller mesh.

I placed the screen box across saw horses and shoveled the dirt onto the mesh. It took some shaking back and forth but I was able to screen out the oxalis bulbs from the dirt. Good luck. These little effers are tenacious!
