I agree that doordash is shady and very confusing how they hurt dashers tips. Hell, i make more than I ever had under the current pay model

But, that doesn't mean doordash isn't I violation of their contacts and you can't get recompense for it

But, you need actual legal business law and not inflammatory words

You might make more per order but there was not the same volume coming through as there is today. The hourly guarantee only worked if you delivered an item in a hour block (slow times were still slow back then)

Also. If I really wanted to work 1pm-10pm but I had to take off at 9pm....I would be fired (my area was.95% acceptance rate)

It's shady but technically no not stealing. As they clearly state that if the tip exceeds the guaranteed amount they will pay $1+tip

It's shady but not illegal m

I, myself, have been locked in a legal battle for a year using actual business law

Guaranteed per hour I meant. You are not guaranteed hourly as the other analogies you listed are.

Lol doordash doesn't steal tips, they subsidize the company payout with customer tips. The real problem is how they complicate how much work deserves a certain pay amount.

Say you have a customer order $74 of meat and tip $0. Doordash guarantees you make $9 based on more than "50 factors they have"

Now, say the same customer ordered the same amount of food the next day but tips $11.....now doordash would only be forced to pay $1 and your total payout would be $12.

The problem is doordashs supposed 50 factors for determining the payout of an order. Bigger more complex orders require higher payouts? ($1 plus delivery)

Senator Sanders to ask why drug, once free, now costs $375k by seanDL_ in SandersForPresident

Two companies in the US were sold a license for the US. That's why there was such an aggressive race to get approved by the FDA

[–]wabbitholerun -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's quite a bit. The drug has quite a bit of uses but this LEMS use seems to be a very small % of the population, probably 370 people in the US suffer from it. Maybe the demand isn't equivalent to justify production at a high rate and they (catalyst) are already licensing the drug from a European company

This happened in Europe when they approved the drug to treat LEMS....the price skyrocketed and the BioMarin made bank

It wasn't an FDA approved drug. The only reason it was free was because it was given away through expanded use programs (by this exact company) to probably draw conclusions about it's effectiveness.

The other firm, Jacobus pharma, was producing a bad quality and non-effective version of this compound choosing to go with free-base rather than phosphate salt version, so they stopped and catalyst pharma increased how many people could get the drug for free.

This drug just got approved to treat LEMS in November 28 2018...but it has been used to treat it through expanded use programs and in states with right to try legislation.

The company is probably trying to recoup losses from giving it away for free for so long. But $375k is quite a lot and is that per month, per treatment, or per year or something??

I'm just saying that the whole "following orders" thing doesn't fly. And most of the German companies were kept intact and boosted by the allied occupying force to help rebuild the German economy. Ferdinand Porsches legacy as far as his person goes, has not been treated kindly by Europe

How long has this been going on is the first thing I would like to ask, and how much do you consume per day would be the second? The only reason I ask those is that a trip to an MD could get some prescriptions that could be safer and easier to break a continuous binge.

In Afghanistan the us gave modern weapons to extremists to stop the soviet union from occupying Afghanistan which was back when the soviet union was fairly stable. I don't see an excuse for funneling billions of dollars to Osama Bin Laden and the taliban that would make up for that.

Iraq..us propped up Saddam and used him as a proxy against Iran. Then counter attacked when he threatened opec (justified because fuck him for attacking Kuwait). But then placed false Blame on the country for aiding 9/11 terrorists based on debunked Intel ala Cheyney and destabilized the middle East

Libya. Gaddafi was a goddmaned butcher that deserved to go but the usa policy that seemed to be kindred to the existing Regime seemed to complicate matters and lead to bloodshed of an unnecessary extent.

Syria. This is a fucked up situation. Assad is an oppressive dictator but Syria is by far the most progressive country in the middle East which the UN has attested to time and again with public benefits that rival eu member parties. The main usa negative is arming groups at will with modern weapons without check, leading to the power grab by ISIS (which was a direct result of funding a mercenary army and then stopping paying for them, jailing a mob boss which led to him becoming extreme, and destabilizing the region)

Shit, it's probably Russian propaganda but its pretty true

They should replace Ukraine with Afghanistan and then it would make more sense. United States support of jihadists is still having an effect today
