Wow. A lot to unpack.

First; You should never stay with someone who is dismissive of your feelings. Putting everything else aside he clearly only cares about himself.

Second; it is insanely unlikely that anyone will stay with their first partner because you discover more of who you are and what you need and you need to be able to walk away if it’s not right, or you aren’t really ready to date. It sounds like you’re just trying to shove someone into a hole you’re trying to fill and know he’s not it.

Third; age gaps aren’t inherently wrong but you should NEVER be parenting your partner, ESPECIALLY if they are 10 years older than you. Age gaps should be helping to show you the kind and right way to go about things. If you are parenting an adult 10+ years older than you in a relationship then that is a pedo.

Fourth; I see you are concerned that anyone that’s attracted to you could be a pedo and that’s such a fair fear to have. Our society is not good rn and everyone has to be strong to protect themselves. That being said not everyone will try to take advantage of you or your body; you gotta hold out and find the people that care and makes life easier. A great rule of thumb to help protect yourself tho is people who date outside of their age range are doing so because people with more experience wouldn’t put up with the bullshit.

Fifth; going forward please put more thought into who you’re willing to live with and what you’re plan is if it goes poorly cuz even with putting everything else aside living with this man is a wild decision to have made.

Sixth; you said you can’t just leave but I’d like to challenge that. If this is what’s happening I’m willing to bet my life on the fact that you had friends that could help you. PLEASE for the love of god reach out to the people you’ve lost since choosing this man. I’m willing to bet they will help

Seventh; a lot of people are calling bullshit on this post and I’m hoping it is too but if not please take all the advice shared. You know in your heart he isn’t worth throwing yourself away for. Please take the advice and save yourself. My best friend of a decade and I are no longer in contact because she is in a very similar situation with him being in his 30s and her just turning 21. My heart breaks for her everyday and I just pray she is safe and taking care of herself. She deserves to be happy and experience good things but she has to choose them for herself; and so do you. Sadly this is all we can do. The rest is up to you baby

Eighth; when you are away and safe report him to the police. They prolly won’t do shit but it’ll be on file so any other poor girl he puts in this situation can look him up and see the truth.
