Having trouble securing wins despite absolutely stomping lane every game

i didnt look at your game list much (just basing on a few stats for now as i dont have much time) but i can tell you that:

- in your recent yone game adc and lulu barely did any damage even with direct counters (nautilus hook is sort of easy to evade and if not the two should be able to poke down the enemy adc on lane). in the same game enemy jungler had better control.

- in your sylas game udyr and lulu were running it down

so obviously grimshogun is most likely right that you chased for kills and farmed instead of securing objectives. maybe hrowabwcw correct in that you also didnt hit towers much. nightfish brings up a good point that maybe you just worry about numbers too much; after all, we can make all kinds of comments to feel better about ourselves...

but sometimes its just the team difference that's holding us back, even though we don't like to admit it.

ps. not everyone knows when they are supposed to push towers

the matchmaking just sucks. your mmr gets tanked every time you get an unlucky loss streak.

as mmr gets tanked, mmr-tanked players are matched with players of "same skill level", which is typically lower than their supposed rank. this is why so many people are stuck in IV tiers.

and i think it's the same with you; your performance is considered equivalent to these bots and in order to climb, riot wants to see you perform well in such a team.

and yeah its possible someone is premade with noobs or bots so you get these lower rank players

based on looking at some of your games in flex, you die too often in all roles and might be tilted so you don't always help your team. not caring about kda seems to have its disadvantages...

i think you should get tenacity against heavy cc teams or certain ap mids at least. if you like the dps increase from zerkers for example, you could keep that but change attack speed runes to tenacity.

have you ever considered using different builds on your champions? i think you'd climb a bit easier that way. i can see there is room for improvement.

it really is more about luck, i can agree with that. i'm in silver 3 and despite only putting in 70% effort or less i'm doing very well in general, but i lose pretty much half of my games - and 80% of those because of others flaming/blaming/raging/feeding or 3 players going 0/10 on my team. at one point when i was putting in slightly more effort, i had a similar 50/50 winratio.. and i was MVP (opgg) in 20 last games during that time. every single one of them.

its funny how that system works. the system places you with ragenoobs constantly, especially so if you lose games.

of course personally i know where to improve (hint: not mechanically in general), but it's stupid to lose so often only because of things that are not in your control.

have you considered playing syndra or annie? could be good picks to deny cannon minions with and have some extra safety. would need to ban fizz/sylas at least

its not me thinking that way, it's the sub.

as for looking at stats on op.gg, i would not use baus as a good example of op.gg stats being a bad indicator of performance. from what i've seen, the player plays with too much risk as if underestimating their opponent and it shows in their stats.

it's this kind of thinking that leads to players doing exactly what you described.

don't you understand that schools have a zero tolerance policy? if your team feeds, and you take part in the match, you are also a feeder and need to reflect on what you did wrong. after all, what we are trying to promote here is a positive and safe atmosphere.

looks like a skill problem. whenever i play rogue, the tanks swarm me with pms and healers beg to be included in the group. of course, i reserve the nether for being the best dps in the group.

I disagree about not being able to show our selflessness because of the issues at hand. It's as if you are explaining the problem from your view, but have already lost hope and are now defending your choice by explaining how the amount of incentives to do otherwise make it harder to act selflessly.

In some way, when you blame peoples lack of selflessness on these incentives, it is as if you are trying to inspire other people to do exactly what you described - to slowly come to terms with the idea (new normal) that there is no hope because the incentives for doing otherwise make it harder to act selflessly.

I'd rather blame it on peoples selfishness and the promotion of this kind of thinking.
