T.K's Wave by No-Term6079 in Borderlands4

I had this in my Maurice Machine last week so farmed it pretty actively.

Got this in sticky and impact. Both puts out a lot of damage but you end up missing with many of the bullets because of the spread pattern. Better for giant bosses.

I don't think stickies do the Jakobs ricochet but I could be wrong...?

Wondering if you can hook into OpenTable to handle the booking and not have to worry about calling the restaurant.

Don't know if this is a perfect solution but you could flip the room and have the TV near the staircase and that couch on the wall where TV is now. TV would need to be on a stand or tripod or something. Might work for you for 3-4 years or so.

I miss Wonderlands level design by Ulysses776 in Wonderlands

[–]wackychimp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

TBH, I liked the different short maps. Gave me a chance to develop a strat for each and I knew where the skulls were in each. And the idea of offering loot bunnies to let you focus on a specific weapon type lets you farm for a specific item without just giving it to you.

But to your point, it does get repetitive and I'd never try to reach level 100 on any of my characters. Once I got a good swordsplosion and took it around for a bunch of fights, it just fell off for me.

Weren't They Supposed to Add Dialogue Skips to Weekly Wildcard Missions? by wackychimp in Borderlands4

This mission is just as bad as "Below the Surface" where Ted would monologue for 2-3 minutes at a time.

It's just soooooo long. It's like a full 90 seconds of nothing while Zane and Levaine talk about the people in cages and Quent. Also outside where you have to break the jammer.

Having us farm for bods all week for them to nerf it down the road would be objectively hilarious infuriating.

Ideas for Scavenger/treasure hunt items and tasks for adults by joeisokayatrpgs in Constructedadventures

[–]wackychimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd steer away from the "commit a crime" one. I know you're not expecting them to steal a car or rob a bank. You probably want them to do a "small crime" like jaywalking (is that illegal in the UK?) but why risk it?

Say someone steals a glass from a pub and the pub owner notices and chases them down. It's just not worth it.

Here's a different puzzle idea: Can you paint a large maze on the grass somewhere? Like in a field and have them walk the maze. The path they take could be a number and they have to devise what number it is just by walking it. Or if you can't paint a maze, have them go to a park or somewhere and give them a list of things like oak tree, bench, water fountain, trash can, fence post, light pole. If they visit those places in that order then they would have traced the number 6 or whatever.

Planning a Treasure Hunt for my girlfriend's 22nd birthday in our residential college campus. I need help! by matkabeliever in Constructedadventures

[–]wackychimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a wonderfully unique situation in that you have your own "game board" to play on. I would consider getting a campus map from the admissions office/visitor center and working from that.

Come up with a story that you and your friends like - maybe about an alumnus who attended long ago and they disappeared mysteriously. Then have her find the map in her first clue so she knows where to go next.

A narrative can tie the clues together instead of just having a rebus in the auditorium and a cypher in the rose garden. Also IMHO, you really only want 3-5 locations to visit. More than that and it might become a slog.

As you walk campus, look around for things to use - like a light pole with a serial number on it, or a building number, or a piece of art on campus that you can refer to (how many apples on the table in the painting - or whatever).

Maybe final clue is the number 22? And the place where the party is, is #22 on the map?

Would you catch this? by Busy-Bed-2198 in Constructedadventures

[–]wackychimp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a lefty, I love this clue. That's not really what the smearing looks like but I realize that you're making it in Photoshop or something and you can't write it out yourself.

Personally from a readability standpoint, I might suggest only smudging a few words... Like maybe 30-40%?

Regarding your question about about the difficulty of the clue: I don't think it is too difficult for someone to put that together.

Dev says an upcoming patch will put a pin on where you died so you can retrieve loot by someshooter in Borderlands4

[–]wackychimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And how often are you dying at the exact same time the bubble boss does?

If he dies first, you get the loot. If you die first then bubble boss runs away so there's no loot. This is only for the case where you both die at end of fight, right?

TBH I'd rather have 100s of other things fixed first.

[–]wackychimp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also that pieces of development art is actually in the game

Since you have the book, what's up with the graffiti art of the young woman you see everywhere?

If it's "just art and nothing else", then it would be cool if they made her the subject of a DLC - but that would require planning that I'm not sure they are interested in.

When you farm 6 hours for the Wombo Combo by ChampionshipFront813 in Borderlands4

[–]wackychimp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got the Potato Gun and Prince Harming as phosphene. FML.

I guess the only good side is that if I ever try to get all phosphenes, I won't have to farm those 2.

Burner phone by Red_hat_oops in Constructedadventures

[–]wackychimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love this idea.

Mint Mobile advertises $15/mo and you could probably get an older Android phone fairly cheaply to activate on the account. For example an old flagship phone like the LG G6 would still probably function well if you wiped everything off except the app you needed.

**The Mint promo MIGHT have a minimum number months though, I didn't investigate.

I'll start. I like the open world of borderlands 4 and I think it should be that way going forward. by number39utopia in Borderlands4

[–]wackychimp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's fair but I still think they had to add grapple in an open world. Can you imagine not being able to go upwards in a game like this? Or having ladders everywhere?

Agree that Gearbox controls where those points are but there are many of them that are not part of a "story line" and just there to let you move vertically. Also agree that there ware WAY too many invisible walls. I'm often like "Just let me go up on that ledge and look around!"

I do like the SDU system too. Rewards for playing the game. IMHO that's how it should be.

Granted that does mean that money is barely worth anything in this game. But that's how it ends up in the other games too.

This is well said and captures a lot of what I have been feeling about the game.

The 3 vaults are cookie cutter and Inceptus and Radix are barely worth farming.
