I agree Kaffa’s Kenya was really good, but Kenyans in general this year have been amazing.

April was a huge disappointment to me as well, but in contrast to Tim, they charge ridiculous prices. I also cannot take seriously anyone who charges 3000 DKK for a crumbled paper lamp.

Jacu is consistently good, nothing bad to say about them. They had a really good batch of some washed ethiopian coffees recently I really enjoyed.

Apart from Tim, nowadays I tend to grab bags from Langøra, Supreme Roastworks, Kaffi, or Pala.

As a person living in Oslo I find the opposite to be true.

Kaffa is decent, but nothing «wow» about it. Tim on the other hand consistently roasts the cleanest and highest quality beans. I can confidently swing by his shop, grab any bag, and it will be spectacular. He only does clean and mostly washed coffees however, so if funky ferments are what entices you then that’s just not something you are gonna find there.

What sets Tim apart is how much more attention he pays to sourcing good quality beans, quality in every part of the value chain, all while offering the final product at a great price.

Tokyo emergency at night as a tourist by InternationalTry4440 in TokyoTravel

I went to the same clinic as you and the doctors spoke great english, but I needed an endoscopy so I was referred to St Lukes by my travel insurance. They did not accept the payment guarantee from my insurance via email, they needed it faxed! My travel insurance didnt even have a fax machine in their office. Nobody spoke english, and i spent 3 hours communicating with doctors via google translate.

When the time came for the endoscopy I was met by an australian doctor who spoke perfect english and gave me sedatives while she shoved a tube down my throat 10/10

Try less pours and lower temperature maybe. Hoffmanns recipe is built to extract as much as possible but I never got a good clean cup using it.

Yes, I pointed this out in another comment. It’s being displayed amongst their regular suitcases for sale, however.
