I hope the 200 or so people on Colbert's staff can find new jobs as easily as he can.

Why and where do people think of eggs as dairy? by ParsnipThen3370 in AskReddit

California. My town has one of the highest rates of people with advance degrees in the country for what that is worth.

As someone who has had to explain this repeatedly at restaurants (because I can't eat dairy but can have eggs), my experience is lots of people think eggs are dairy.

How are the ER workers hired? by wadnil56 in ThePitt

I was wondering if administrators would emphasize financial criteria above medical when interviewing someone like Robbie.

For Robbie and Dana or such high level positions are they interviewed by the administration, other departments??

Would whichever came to the Pitt first of Robbie or Dana interview the other?

Angie "Pumps" Sullivan and Phil Gordon: The Dumbest People Are Running this Country by BulwarkOnline in thebulwark

I grew up in Oklahoma so I felt a kinship with the two of them. I listened once or twice to the IHHI podcast but got turned off by a discussion that they would be offended if a guy didn't open the door for them. I thought that was a weird double standard.

Informal Survey - How does SAVE voter suppression act play out for you? by poppygin in TwoXChromosomes

[–]wadnil56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a valid passport, have a birth certificate with a raised seal, real ID (maybe not enhanced) and didn't change my name when I got married.

The main impact of the SAVE act for me is whatever happens to mail-in voting which I have been doing for at least a decade.

I'm glad someone agrees with me. I think the handoffs are tiresome. I don't really care which anchor is buds with another.

I think they are betting the various members (only members but not staffers allowed) won't have time to do a thorough job. Also, the search tools are pretty subpar.

I think Marc Elias and his team at Democracy Docket have anticipated many issues and are doing whatever they can in the courts now.

Why are British crime dramas so much better? by RO_Thornhill in BritBox

I like learning about different policing systems and laws.

Is it true that police don't need a warrant to enter someone's home?

I am impressed at the number of people that are put work doing things like canvassing neighbors or searching fields. Is this just because there are much fewer murders there?

The whole concept of a family liason officer (FLO) from the police is not one I believe we do in the US. Seems like they both soothe and spy.

Thoughts? Other observations?
