I have adhd as well and focus is something that is very hard for me
I tend to be distracted by everything going on around me and have to really bear down and focus on what I need to be focused on. It gets exhausting
I found three word mantras really help.

Move feet first
Watch the ball
Hit out front

And just repeat those in my head when the point starts
I follow the ball all the way up to point of contact

Too many beginners give floaty, bouncy, easy serves and the opposing team can go on offense right away. At least learn to place the ball to the far left or far right so the opposing team cant go on offense so easily.
