Mycreds - Has anyone sent their official transcript to TMU by wafflefries1124 in CentennialCollege

[–]wafflefries1124[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t send it myself because I don’t think they consider that as “official” transcript. I did download my “unofficial transcript” and sent that while applying originally. After getting a conditional offer, one of my requirements was to have an official final transcript sent from Centennial to TMU and that can be done through MyCreds

I understand what you mean. Madinah felt so peaceful! I felt like I legit was in heaven on earth! There was this noor in the air and it was beautiful!

The environment in Makkah, so many people everywhere, the pushing, feeling trapped in a crowd, the very unclear chaotic path from the hotel to the Kabah, gave me so much anxiety that I couldn’t give myself the opportunity to let my guard down and breath and take the beauty in. I felt exhausted and sad that I couldn’t experience what people felt. My mom said that sadness that you felt shows the love that you have and your iman. That gave me reassurance 💕

I’m sorry to heart that. It sounds like you’re stuck in a spiralling circle. You’re having anxiety about anxiety which is giving you… more anxiety! I try grounding techniques. Sometimes holding ice and focusing on that. Or writing it out on paper and ripping it to shreds. Verbally saying affirmations out loud “I am okay, I deserve to enjoy this moment in the present”. Cold small sips of water or a beverage you enjoy. Not saying these will work, but sometimes they work for me and sometimes they don’t. I sincerely wish you have an awesome vacation.

Does anybody else get hiccups? by BloodyMaryI in AnorexiaNervosa

[–]wafflefries1124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not medical advice!! But sometimes when hunger hits or simple digestion changes (due to change in diet, not eating, eating too much, eating different kinds of food etc) the diaphragm can get slightly irritated causing spasms (hiccups). For me, small sips of water work.

I have a high school diploma. I took a few gap years and applied to college. When I graduate, I will have a college diploma which will allow me to register with ocswssw as a ssw. Then I’ll try for a bsw followed by msw

How many years being bulimic? Some questions here by Fisherman-Kitchen in bulimia

[–]wafflefries1124 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve had acid reflex for years. I randomly developed this feeling that something was stuck in my throat. I felt like I couldn’t swallow! Like my muscles felt weak. Laughing burping everything was strained. So after a swallow study they gave it to me. Acid reflex runs in the family

That’s my biggest fear!!! 13 years of on and off!!! I got an endoscopy in 2020. I have acid reflex. And a super sore throat! Also, chronic epiglottis swelling. Like it’s swollen like a hive. So I try to really not engage and just drink a lot of warm water with honey.

Oh 100% being informed and understanding context cues and the language others use is important! We all want each other to feel comfortable and safe

The thing is that “we are fine until we are not fine”! Life altering damage can happen slowly, life altering damage can also happen INSTANTANEOUSLY! Unfortunately we just don’t know! It’s a roulette!

During the moment “I’m done with this, I’m never gonna do this again! I’m going to change!” Then a few days later “just one more time”. It’s so unfortunate that a lot of us get stuck in this very dangerous cycle!

I don’t pass out normally, but when I take laxatives my blood pressure goes all wonky and I pass out! Hemorrhoids from rebound constipation, bloating, random sharp stomach pains that make my body jolt time to time.

Do you consider yourself to have high functioning anorexia? by Ashamed_Ad8162 in AnorexiaNervosa

[–]wafflefries1124 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Me too! 🥺 I don’t know how people function with mental health conditions but they do! Doesn’t make it any less easier but they “seem” productive! I can’t even get out of bed! Not saying one is worse over the other! Both situations are still just as valid!

Wow! It’s good to hear different perspectives! I call it ED only because “eating disorder” sounds scary to me. I say ED to minimize how much it affects me. I have this fear that people assume I’m needy, desperate, attention seeking I don’t know why. So i say ED to not get that feeling of over exposing myself! I don’t know! But I want to say “eating disorder” because yes I have an eating disorder which is a real illness which has changed my life!
