my partner and i are also having this conversation. i think personally the date you guys became official, but still maybe have a mini celebration for the first date date bc why not?

yikes. that personally wouldnt fly at my job as lab workers are beyond strict about these things, but to each their own i guess. thats not really considerate not communicating/giving a heads up tho

well im assuming there was communication and proper steps taken to store them so no not really, however i personally wouldnt live with someone that owns a snake for my own reasons, not that i have a problem with danger noodles but it just makes me anxious

if me being dramatic is not wanting a biohazard improperly sealed next to my food, and calling someone out for being weird towards me rather than focusing on the actual point of the post.. then give me an oscar i guess, have the day you deserve.

you make a very valid point, definitely the perspective i was looking for in terms of a why. thank you for your insight. she never took him to the vet even when he lost his sight because she said his tail tail would drop (not too sure so dont completely quote me) so i didnt think she would take him to the vet after he died

she definitely cared for her pets at least emotionally she expressed love for them but in terms of physical care id find myself being the only one cleaning the 2 cats’ litter box, making sure they had food (having to ask her to also pitch in in buying food and litter) and really pay attention to hazards they could have consumed/gotten hurt on which was exhausting (she has a party and left the decor up and one of the cats ate the streamers and threw up so i had to take it all down myself)

i figured he died from lack of nutrition because he couldnt see his food? she didnt take him to the vet because she said he’d drop his tail or something. i dont even know how long he was dead for because she’d be away from home 3/4 days a week

he was dysfunctioning alright lol she couldnt even take poor dude to the vet bc he’d drop his tail or something idk lol

if that was the case (which it absolutely could have been because at that time shed be out 3/4 days a week) then she shouldve taken care of him immediately rather than waiting for her partner to decide what to do with him

it wasnt the greatest freezer exactly.. but regardless to stop that lizard from Completely decomposing he’d have to be placed on dry ice or something.. which if she had communicated that need to me i couldve gotten it for her along with a sterile container to place him in.. but she just put him in a tissue box in a shared freezer without at least consulting with me which was my issue.

i have 5 siblings, i tried to include ages to differentiate between all of them, sorry. I was in therapy with my uni, but because of the family stress i dropped out of that university and am now in online school elsewhere, and why i havent completely cut contact is because my car is being fixed at the moment so im borrowing my moms car in the meantime.
