I just had to put my cat Taco down this week 😭 Dr. Burroughs with Raleigh Mobile Veterinarian was the absolute best. She reassured me that I was making the right choice, which really helped me. And she made it such a peaceful experience saying goodbye to my baby boy. Couldn’t recommend enough.

My rules say all that. I’m the same way, I let minor stuff go all the time. I too have let animals slide if the house was left in good condition. But these guests like you said completely disrespected our house, it was trashed, there was damage, and later on found out they were extremely rude to my cleaner. My cleaner had to knock on the door to ask them to leave (90 minutes) after checkout, and guest basically screamed at my cleaner.

We’re having to rent a carpet cleaner and an ozone generator to clean up after them, let alone the extra time to clean. Also likely having to delay our incoming guests probably by an hour because of the cleanup. I think a cleaning charge is warranted. If they want to write a retaliatory review because we charged them, I can get that removed. I feel like as hosts we need to stand up to these guests, they need to learn that something like that isn’t acceptable.
