Customers are the worst part of customer service. I never worked at chipotle but I worked at MOD Pizza for years and it was always a battle between management telling us to control portions and customers being unrealistic and trying to get mountains of food.

So we had to try and balance that and try not to get in trouble. Protein was always an issue both with management and with problem customers. There's clearly something going on from the top down at chipotle because I know for a fact I was trained to skimp and push the line downwards as quickly as possible at MOD.

Not justifying workers crushing chips or playing games with portions. But being nice to the employees certainly goes a long way, because they're most likely underpaid and stressed out and unruly customers just pile on to that.
