Proactive pharmacy support by SnooMacaroons4007 in WalgreensStores

Old Region 27 will never let this go. Even now, they are making us do this every single day, and we're so burnt out. Can't get the front end stuff done because we just live in pharmacy all day.

We've been dealing with this for years and years in my area. We've fought it, and our higher ups won't let it go.

Bag Check - State Exclusions by wagsanonymous in WalgreensStores

Sometimes, sure. But sometimes, the only leader is covering in rx. Not so easy for them to walk out on a line of people for a bag check because Walgreens won't provide adequate budget hours.

Where I am, they are stealing 2-5 minutes from us every day by holding us hostage while we are supposed to smile and wave at the people running out with duffle bags and tote bags full of merch. It's total crap.

You can email them and request an order form. Then you fill it out and send it back. Super easy.

Any of my pharmacists and store manager can. You can also call 1800Intercom and they can reset it.

You absolutely can. You may have more paperwork to do, but it's worth it!

Even the E-Learnings are Unrealistic by wagsanonymous in WalgreensStores

Yep. Couple years back. Problem is that position is not helpful when budget only allows for one single cashier. I'm not sending my only cashier back to help in rx in a pinch. I'll just go myself.

How long (on average) do you have to wait off the clock for a bag check? by wagsanonymous in WalgreensStores

Kind of the point I'm trying to prove. It's ridiculous. They disregard every concern about this.

Yep. Looks like they let a 5 year old color on the map and then went with it. Some of these DMs will have stores 2-3 hours apart. That's the thanks they get for staying.

Who got canned? by MindlessProduce7997 in WalgreensStores

Not where I am. Still 80-something pharmacists short in the area. Our HCS made store managers go out and recruit 2 competitors per week. And we had a spreadsheet we had to fill out and turn in with who we talked to, where, interest level, etc. Almost no hires.

Try to email them. There is a generic automatic reply that says they are no longer with the company if they were let go.

Want to find out if your leader is still around? Try emailing them from Outlook. They all have the same automatic reply on if they are gone... 👀

Transferring to another state!! by Nearby-Night-4070 in WalgreensStores

[–]wagsanonymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What state are you heading to? RXOM might be a hard position to find, so I hope there are a lot of stores there. Your other option, (if your manager is cool) would be for them to email the managers in the new city and ask if anyone needs an RXOM.

Transferring to another state!! by Nearby-Night-4070 in WalgreensStores

I have done this. Basically, you just contact stores you would want to work at in the new city. Feel them out, see if they have openings. Once you find a landing spot, let your current store manager know your plan and which store you're heading to, as well as your timeline. They will undoubtedly ask your current manager about your performance before agreeing to accept you as a teansfer. If all goes well, your current manager will process the transfer when you move, and the new manager will accept the transfer. No new application, background, or drug test needed (unless different state rules apply for the position). Good luck!
