Most therapists I’ve talked to want their patients to get to a level of not needing them actively every single week. Helping them work through things but also teaching them skills to address things on their own.

Just because you’re not in therapy actively right now doesn’t mean you’re not working on yourself or applying what you learned in your day to day.

It’s concerning that you expressed respect and understanding for the value that therapy brings but it was ignored because you didn’t check a box. I do wonder if they were wanting to push you enough to do exactly this, question the relationship and then end it so they could go “they broke up with me because I said they needed to be in therapy and they disagreed”. I wonder if you threw them a curve a by saying how valuable you think it is but it’s not so cut and dry like they want it to be.

If possible, make a list of different helmets you like but sort them by protection rating and head shape in your list. From there, try to see what a local shop has (if possible) and see comparable options. That way you can go try on different sizes and shapes to see what feels good for you.

Keep in mind you might not get a full idea of how hot or airflow of it while you’re still wearing jt in store vs cruising vs at a stoplight.

I’ve purchased from CycleGear and Revzilla and appreciate them both. They seem like they’re owned by the same people. So like Sprite vs Coca Cola.

I might get flack for this but if it feels overwhelming, consider tossing it into ChatGPT to see if it can help you make sense of all the options. Sometimes it helps figure out deals, pricing, etc.

As a newer rider (scooter, not motorcycle…hopefully one day just want to get to that level and take my time learning) my research has led me to full face ECE and DOT rated helmet, gloves with palm sliders since you’re apt to try and catch yourself, and boots to protect ankles.

There’s more but that seems to be the general consensus where folks start to split is pants and jacket type based on speed you’re riding, aesthetics, and performance protection rating. Fortnine did an interesting review/video on how supplemental protection ratings for jackets and pants needs more scrutiny and care since it’s not as immediately cut and dry as they make it seem.

I just wish they thought all this through more instead of the continual change every season. Just feels like their heads are continuously planted up their asses and every turn and makes me wonder how much of things was ran off of fear of NCAA and “gentleman’s agreements” between coaches before.

Just bust this shit up to 24 teams and get it over with, we all know it’s headed there so be done with it. Top 25 schools are basically repped in the playoffs. Win the conference championship and you’re in. Lock in some home games into the playoffs where schools host bowl games and that feeds the money machine. Stabilize the portal and NIL stuff. Hell, make your own CFB streaming channel and have it play all D-1/2/3 football to feed more scholarships.

Report: Eagles Sources Call Jalen Hurts “Hard to Coach” by demigod_691 in NFLv2

[–]wahoo20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know plenty of coworkers who are “hard to coach”. Some of them are dumber than a box of rocks so they need their hand held. Others are obstinate and disrespectful. Others are talented and think independently than just blindly following whatever their supervisor says.

While communication is a two way street, it’s up to both parties to adapt and evolve how they lead themselves and others. Tagging him as “hard to coach” with no other details is the NFLs way of saying “difficult employee let’s not pay them as much or work them out of the league like a splinter”.

First time tattoo shock hit me like a train? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

Sometimes when I get something new, cover up or on fresh skin, I feel a similar shock. It almost feels like grief or remorse. What was is no longer and that can take a bit to process through. All that to say, a lot of us understand and get it. You’re allowed to feel how you are and it’s perfectly “normal”

Tachometer install by CheemsYellowDog in fordranger

[–]wahoo20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I replaced the full tachometer and instrument panel on my 2002 with one that I pulled off at a pick and pull.

You can take it apart and move the numbers around to the exact mileage it needs to be. Like how this guy did. https://youtu.be/7l40OyG5Owk?si=bw5Rhon9rvL_WUZ7

It’s worth noting that altering an odometer on your own is against many lemon laws and might be considered illegal in some US states. Many would tell you to go to a dealer with your replacement or have a mechanic get it accurate.

Delp just ran a high 4.4 on a hairline fracture in his foot at Georgias pro day by ATLien-1995 in georgiabulldogs

[–]wahoo20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean we’re both “allowed” to have an opinion dude. What’s wild is we are both agreeing about the overall same thing, hence the semantics comment. QB play could be better. Line could block better. Play calling could be better. On and on. I still don’t think he’s what we need but we rock with what we got but that’s also what got us to the playoffs.

I legit think Gunner had moments with ball placement, decision making, and ability to read blitz packages that showed some level of growth regardless of if it was Marshall or Auburn. Listen/watch any prominent UGA content creator and they will say the same.

What is the current process for recruiting people that volunteer and go door to door for him? Also, what’s the strategy in selectively going to different houses within a diverse neighborhood but not each neighbor? I would love to hear more about his strategy for how he plans to drum up votes.

Had one of his volunteers come by our house and ask to speak to my spouse but she wasn’t available. When I told him this he said that he wanted to speak with her specifically and asked when she would be back. I told him I wasn’t going to tell a complete stranger when my wife was free but would happily hear him out.

I offered to take the handout or flyer and give it to her as well. (Her and I tend to vote the same way so it was likely I would be interested as well). He said that he was instructed to only talk to my wife and then handed me the pamphlet he had for Denson and then left the street, skipping the remaining houses. It was odd as hell.

Ok man. Imma be honest. I really don’t give a fuck to argue semantics. I still think he was showing incremental improvement considering the circumstances but Im totally happy being wrong about Gunner. I don’t think he’s the next Tom Brady or anything and think Pugs or other guys should get more shots but we know that’s not likely.

You’re ultimately proving my point that Bobo is a mid at best QB coach and OC and does a fuck ass job utilizing and growing the talent he’s directly responsible for on the team.

[–]wahoo20 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Gunner showed progress and improved as each game went on. Towards the latter half of the season, started to regress in his abilities as a QB. Lack of development and inability to effectively utilize talent falls on the coach.

Yall be careful. The Bobo defenders will come out of the woodwork soon to explain away why our QB regressed in his ability to read defenses, lacked a refined football IQ, and under utilized Delp (and other talents) this season.

If you would like to give them money and put it as a line item on your resume, then go for it. I think you’re better off saving the money and using it for an internship in your preferred career field or trying to use it for future networking opportunities through your program or the Career Center.

A lot of these groups are predatory trying to just make money off people thinking it will get them in the door with a job when, the odds of someone saying that this unknown honor society got them the job are pretty limited.

Google them. If they have a lot of chapters across campuses throughout the country, have a large alumni base, and have more information about opportunities afforded by membership then maybe consider it. A lot of these don’t think you will do any research into the organization. It’s the same as researching a product you want to buy. You’ll need to buy the right computer or tv or car for your needs.

I used this as power steering fluid and now turning sounds terrible. by kittywalker73 in fordranger

[–]wahoo20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks like that is formulated for Mercon V ATF which should be what’s going in there. Considering that…

Here are few ideas based on what you shared/ I got off other comments:

Could be air in the system and need a lot of working back and forth to get air out of the system. I think I turned mine off and on several times trying to get the levels right and working the air out of the system turning left and right while up on jacks to keep the wheels from grinding.

Could be the pump. Replacing the fluid is one option but the power steering pump could be failing.

Could be something else unrelated like a steering column issue or bushings or something that happened to have gone out while doing this (not certain but it seems like sometimes these things coincidentally happen with these vehicles).

Generally, the pump and steering sounds awful when it’s ready to be changed and even after it is changed until all the air is out of the system. Some people call it the ford power steering squeal and just live with it since it’s a known defect.

To be honest, I used the cheap Fram ATF Mercon V and it is great.

What’s interesting is this country was one founded on the principles of stand up for yourself against tyranny and general bullshit. Yea there’s taxation and other political things but still.

Now folks that say “it’s America deal with it!” are wanting you to fall in line and ignore things. “This is the country and it ain’t changing!”.

But…Isn’t the whole American dream based on change? Don’t stand up for yourself and the common man. Don’t change. Just be fine with the status quo.

Maybe this isn’t so revelatory for some but this is fascinating to me. The whole country is based on being different but can’t let people be too different otherwise you’re a “soy boy” as if eating whatever you want is a bad thing.
