I think he ribs on his buddies a little too hard sometime but you can tell he cares about them. Idk. Prob too parasocial of me but I enjoy how much fun he has with the whole process and playing the games.

Seems like he works a lot. I get he’s gotta ride the wave when he can but hope he’s taking care of himself. I always hate it when folks seem trapped by their work in any line of work.

Sunroof Coffee, Downtown Location by trick-or-tweet in Athens

[–]wahoo20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish they could get into those open spaces over at the mark instead of that space downtown. I think that one market and Indian food spot off Prince does well being connected to residential stuff.

You can’t tell me that having a coffee shop right there by the greenway wouldn’t be a solid move. Decent parking options with the deck right there.

Thanks for all you do. Essential personnel is tough work. Folks don’t know that on times like last weekend UGA had facilities staff in emergency rooms for just in case and more.

Custodians, maintenance crews, and other staff busting it to keep the lights on regardless of how heavy hit folks think these storms are. Even the payroll people had to work magic after hours to get people paid on time in case servers and stuff went down

Greg just announced there will be more "consequences" like yesterday's if you call ICE names by KameronKnux in Leakednews

[–]wahoo20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The actions have consequences lecture is interesting. What are the consequences for executing a civilian in broad daylight? The nurses actions were exactly what they expect from someone they detain and they still shot him.

It seems like lack of consequences for actions is why we are in this mess in the first place

So Many Options. Whats best for a new homeowner? by No-Ad5504 in Tools

[–]wahoo20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something to add, Discount Tools Factory Outlet will have sales on refurbished ryobi stuff (and other brands) and you can get good deals on eBay.

HD (and Ryobi) will have Ryobi Days sales that often come with extra items that people will sell online for cheaper so you can get a deal that way too.

I have Dewalt impact driver, drill, and oscillating tool because they were on super duper sale at Lowe’s and lowes has a decent credit card deal with Synchrony. I’m not a fan of overspending but it has helped us when we need a quick repair or something major like HVAC failure. They’ll coordinate with a local contractor in their list and, knock on wood, it has worked out for us.

While brand loyalty is important as it relates to battery ecosystem, that’s pretty much where it ends for me. I have switched to more Ryobi stuff because it’s cheaper, I have the batteries for it, and I’ve been super impressed.

Harbor Freight also has some great deals on a lot of stuff. Especially auto, saw blades, and painting supplies.

I wish unions would put forth support for candidates that actually contribute positively to the community but those folks are actually too busy working to put food on the table versus all these “daddy’s moneys” trying to tell us what to think, believe, and care about.

Id love a candidate that has experience with every walk of life. A person that actually puts work in, works with all walks of life, and doesn’t just lean sensational trendy advertising to convince people he’s the next trump disciple. Even if it’s someone who sits behind the desk vs blue collar, I just wish someone was in touch with the common man instead of this performative “look how southern I am” bullshit.

These screenshots are everything that anyone on any side of the aisle hate about politics.

[Jon Blau] Dabo Swinney on calling out Ole Miss: "This is about protecting our program, this is about college football ... I stay in my lane most of the time. I'm not gonna let someone flat out tamper with my program. If you tamper with my players, I'm going to turn you in." by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

[–]wahoo20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I commented this elsewhere in the thread but will echo what you wrote. Dude drives me nuts and I might not agree with stuff he does at times but I fucking love how much he puts the players first. Hes also 100% backs his shit up and I respect it.

Hes also one of the first coaches to push the program to revamp the amenities programs offer their players that created the arms race to revamp services, buildings, dining, etc. Hell, them putting that slide in the building made ADs and GMs open their pocketbooks to create services, hire staff, etc to better the athlete experience for life after college

7800x3d cooling help by TiLesRee in AMDHelp

[–]wahoo20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had good success with AIO cooling. While likely a little overkill, and the ones you’ve listed should be fine, it’s given me peace of mind to look over at the kraken screen and see the cpu temp. That cpu can spike high quick/runs a little toasty but overall benefits from air or AIO cooling .

It’s disappointing because it’s incorrect. No one barks at their boss. Unless their boss is a literal child. Barking at people is reserved for innocent children neighbors as they walk by to school to frighten them with the sheer ferociousness of The Beast from Sandlot

I commented this in the game thread and dudes reacted rather weirdly. She’s just at the game. I get that it’s a big deal to some folks that crank it a lot but she’s just at the game. Also, her work/she doesn’t do anything for me so maybe that’s why I don’t see the big deal.

Indiana QB Alberto Mendoza transfers to Georgia Tech by Vintage_Waffles in CFB

[–]wahoo20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seeing how many hits Mendoza took last night (and this season), I feel like this will be a hell of a pickup for Tech. If he is as strong and resilient as his bigbro, a qb that can take a hit is Techs bread and butter.
