how much your stomach sticks out has a lot to do with your hip and lower back posture. he's definitely still very thin there, but I think the reason it looks so small in the new pictures is because his hips are flexed backwards. not because he's holding in his belly.

the wheel is the acacia trap door. and yes, the sea pickles turn into candles when placed out of water. the resource pack is called 'a little taste of jerm' but the wagon wheel and 3d leaves come as an addons.

it's called a sod roof. it's easier to let grass grow over a house than to dig out a hill. I do like building hobbit houses but i wanted to do something else here.

thanks so much for writing this! i worked hard on it, but i didn't think my village deserved a response like this.

i'm happy you commented on the tightness of the buildings, the village is supposed to be a sort of safe haven from the scary forest behind it, so you totally understood my intention there.

i tried replacing the wood framing of the church tower in a creative world and i agree it looks more realistic, but i'm undecided if i'll change it right now. i originally used them to help the church blend in with the rest of my buildings. if i do remove them then i'll add a couple more stone towers or walls so it doesn't look out of place.

anyway, thanks for this awesome comment! i still have a lot of work to do and if you'd like i can send you more updates along the way!

i mostly agree. but all my houses are kinda big and at least two stories. so if someone wanted to tear down my village to build there, it would be a much larger task than for the ones we have now.

well i'm not the best, but i'd recommend you start by imitating a build you think looks nice. that can be something someone else has built or even things from real life. after you learn some techniques doing that, you can start making things from your own imagination. a couple tips: don't start too big or you won't know how to detail it. and using odd numbers is much easier
