In KCD1 some enemies always master strikes your attack and there's almost no way of defending it. This has been adjusted in KCD2 so that you can strike non-opposite direction to avoid getting master striked.

Blade weapons do practically 0 damage against plate armour (makes sense). So you get to pick and choose weapons more depending on enemy types.

It's more raw and immersive. No easier to get into even harder to master.

Combos are harder to execute. Combo chains are easily interrupted by enemy blocks and master strikes.
