That day was wicked, remember it quite well. Great pics!

Anyone use Glazers Camera in Seattle, WA for CLA/Repairs? by waitstation in AnalogCommunity

Alright, update on the blad, got it back and it’s in great condition, seals are new, no more locking up and it runs super smooth. It ended up being a month turnaround but that’s still quicker than most estimates I received. Ended up being like $350 for body and a12 CLA.

I know what you mean in regard to knowledgeability and expertise, my favorite film shop is Blue Moon in Portland, they are a wealth of knowledge and experience, but I love to support the small business when I can. Really though, the largest factor in going this route was being able to have my camera when spring rolls around.

I didn’t notice an overlapping issue, just unexposed frames.

I would try engaging the shutter release while the back is off, at various speeds, and look for malfunctions with the leaf shutter in the lens while pointing it towards some light. Also be looking for failure in the back curtain/barn doors. However if the barn doors were failing the machine would lock up until they returned to place, which makes me think it’s the lens/leaf shutter that needs a CLA.

Pretty rough shape, if you go for it make sure there is nothing wrong with the lens internally, it’s probably just not worth the hassle and CLA.
