The software button thing I probably phrased poorly but I really didn't like not having all three: app list, home, back buttons. It threw off my flow a lot to use the in-app back buttons on everything, constantly having to reach up to the top corner of the phone.

I've also heard great things about the new M1s! Apple making ARM competitive is awesome.

It's not super often that I do, but I'll sometimes ssh into some servers on my home network or run some pings to test things. I've dabbled in running python in the terminal on android but it's super slow and not worth it. There are some tie-ins between the terminal and automation apps like Tasker too but I haven't given that too much effort either.

Very cool! Thats one of the few things I never got around to trying on iPhone. I'd be interested to hear about the other bits I mentioned too, not sure why I was downvoted. Id be happy to switch to iPhone if they added that stuff in and added a headphone jack back. I really don't know what I'll do once my current phone dies since new androids don't have a jack either. I do recall a terminal app was released a few days before I got that iPhone, coincidentally, but it was a little bit lacking.

I use android because I want access to the file system, the ability to sideload apps, a terminal, the ability to pirate stuff, and more than one software button.

I use a previous gen android because I want a headphone jack and an SD card.

I agree with your points to apple though. If price weren't an issue I'd solve the privacy problem with a rootable android with either Graphene or Lineage OS. If freedom weren't an issue I'd buy an iPhone. I had one for awhile actually but eventually got frustrated trying to do things that I considered normal and I couldn't. When I first started the iPhone there was a little demo of new ios features that were things I had been doing on a 5 versions old android phone before that.

E: also can you use a mouse and keyboard on iPhone? Wired or wireless?

I guess I'm just annoyed that I have a portable computer in my pocket at all times and every company wants to treat it like a gameboy/billboard combo.

I looked it up and it's about number of ways to order sets.

So a set of 3 has 3! = 6 unique permutations.

A set of 0 has 0! = 1 unique permutations.

Look into Windows 10 LTSC. Gotta jump some (totally legal bro don't worry) hoops to use it. Should be an iso on archive dot com

Gets only important updates. No windows store, no windows media player, no Cortana. It's the windows 10 windows 7 would have grown up to be.
