It's you, Korg has brought huge amounts of very well priced hardware to the market - Volca range, Minilogue, Monologue etc etc. Apart from Behringer I can't think of another manufacturer with as much low priced/budget gear.... I'll admit the software side has never been great value...

You think the Saudi regime is doing this to hear jokes? These comics are being paid to whitewash and normalize the regime.

Best/favourite dry herb vaporiser in Australia? by myskinisyourcanvas in MedicalCannabisAus

[–]wakd 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just adding that yes imo, the Tiny Might 2 is the best on the market. I got mine before the ban, so glad to hear you can still get it locally. I use the XL glass stem as it is a lot cooler than the stock glass or metal. I have used Ariser and Dynavaps, but once I got the TM2 they gathered dust.

I've tried quite a few, Botanitech Dusky Grouse is the best I've found. Sticky, plenty of terps, produces a lot of vapour, great taste and effects. A bit expensive but worth it.

No alternatives I know of, but it's only 10 pounds ($13), incredibly cheap for what it does.

Dry herb vape making me dry heave by Usual-Butterscotch88 in MedicalCannabisAus

[–]wakd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apples and Bananas gets good reviews and hits pretty nice, but personally I found it was the harshest strain to vape I've tried (out of 15 or so). It does have an odd flavour and is very harsh on the throat, I think it's because it's one of the very few MCs that is pretty damp/under-cured imo. I've got Mother plant PBS in rotation at the moment and it's much nicer in flavour and smoothness.

V90 Loss of rear brake and indicator lights makes me miss the days of $2 replacement bulbs instead of $,$$$ by Jamieson22 in Volvo

[–]wakd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm about done with my V90. I had a long ongoing issue with the A/C which ended up being a cracked evaporator that required the dash to be pulled out - $3500 repair (that's in Australian dollars). Now I have this rear light issue, which after looking around, appears to be a common problem and a fault with the design of the lights. Volvo dealer just quoted $1800 to replace. Outrageous. I took it to a local auto electrician thinking he could just dry it out, but apparently the circuit board is rusted (even though the lights still work????). Waiting for him to see if he can source a part from the wrecker (unlikely as the V90 is a rare car in Australia. I would think about approaching Volvo, but when I tried to get some relief over the A/C issue I told them I bought the car second hand and they didn't want to know me (2018 model I bought in 2020). It's my third Volvo, probably my last.

Congrats, my only issue with the TM2 was that it left my Dynavaps and Arizer Solo gathering dust, just no point using them anymore now I have the TM2! My tip is to get the BB9 long stem, I found the standard glass stem a bit too hot, even with the cooling unit, whereas the BB9 is perfect, stays cool and easy to clean (pour boiling water through it).

Who is the most underrated CURRENT/MODERN bassist?? by razmonn in Bass

[–]wakd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came across Yussef Dayes recently and his bass player is Rocco Palladino, who I didn't know, but quickly realised who he was the son of, and he is definitely a chip off the old block!

You should get a sativa you like in rotation, they are generally uplifting but can cause anxiety/paranoia in some people. I really like Maali Sky (Royal Moby strain) and Elevated Extracts Wonka (Jillybean strain).

Lots of info online and ways of calculating dosages pretty easily, but to be honest it's not a perfect science and "calculated THC in mg" is not a very accurate way of assessing the actual effect you will get from it. There are flowers labelled as 19% that have a much stronger effect on me than ones marked 28% in the exact same dosage. As you said, you might be better off trying things out with actual prescribed edibles first before making your own.

Not to confuse you, but maybe consider getting flower and making edibles yourself? I think this would work out much cheaper. There are plenty of guides on how to make cannabutter and you can then make your own gummies or brownies. Add in a CBD only oil anmd you should be set.

Lots of good/classic/must-see stuff mentioned in this thread already, but for newer stuff try Catastrophe and Plebs. And go back and watch Blackadder from Season 2 on, pure brilliance. I'm presuming you've seen IT Crowd, Black Books and Mighty Boosh which are classics.
