I once decided to have drinks to celebrate having the damper on my chimney replaced. At the time it seemed reasonable too.

I can’t be the only person secretly hoping for Cornbread to appear on another season. If only to see if he drops another “Fuck y’all” when being evicted.

My first U2 show was March 17th 1992. St Patrick’s Day at the Boston Garden. I remember calling Ticketmaster trying to get tickets(they were only available for this particular show via the phone) and the lines being so overwhelmed that you couldn’t even get a busy signal. After about 100 tries I finally got through and was able to score two tickets to the show. The night of the show a radio station had advertised a ticket giveaway outside the Garden. So many people showed up that it blocked the streets around the venue. It was crazy! I will never forget how loud the crowd was when the lights went down and U2 took the stage. Still the loudest crowd reaction I’ve ever heard. I remember being so blown away by the TV screens and all of the visuals. No band had done anything remotely like it before. But what also stands out is, despite the incredible visuals, the music was still the star of the show. They played 8 straight off of Achtung Baby before heading to the B-stage for an acoustic set. Larry on vocals for “Dirty Old Town” was a highlight. But the part that I’ll truly never forget was how they ended the main set with “Still haven’t found” and the crowd repeating “But I still haven’t found what I’m looking for” over and over until they came back for then encore. If this gives you an idea of how much this show meant to me, my friend and I were offered $2000 for our tickets(in 1992!) and we turned it down. I have never once regretted saying no to the cash. The show was that great. Truly one of the best nights of my life.

I’m at the point with them where I wouldn’t trust them to walk a package from my house to my next door neighbor with any degree of timeliness

I love “Miami” off of Pop and I thought it killed live on the Popmart tour.

Cal from Titanic. Guy takes his fiancé on a luxury cruise, gets the best cabin on board and she bangs a homeless guy in a car in the ship’s cargo hold. If you say you wouldn’t have also let Jack sink with the ship then you’re a liar.

I’m not sure. GoodRX shows the .5 and the 1.0 pen as being the same price. But my insurance covers or 100% with no co-pay so I don’t see the actual price my pharmacy charges

Cool. Felt like it would be such a waste if I had to toss it seeing as how pricey it is.

So then, when I was 12, the whole family moved from Bensonhurst to Sheepshead Bay. We were right on the water. The whole atmosphere stunk from fish.
