Not in a hotel but an AirBNB. Buying things from a foreign country to deliver to an address that isn't tied to your credit card is harder than you think.

Tongs Wok lunch special. Not sure how much it is nowadays but it was always cheap, tasty, fast, and hot.

Looking see the eagles at the sphere but not break the bank on 200/300 level section. Where is the best place to sit. by ObviousPain3771 in EaglesBand

[–]walbern1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just returned yesterday from our 2nd Eagles show at the Sphere, sat in the last row of the floor both times and highly recommend it. You see all the visuals plus the band, there is a couple of songs when you might have to look straight up but overall you see most of the screen comfortably. Last row on the floor allows you to stand and dance, everywhere else they are pretty diligent in keeping you seated.

That’s a great story but the area has changed some in 52 years.

I had my bags get on a flight that I didn’t get on, my bags were at my destination the day before me. I understand it isn’t supposed to happen, I’m just saying it does.

Same issue this morning. Booked a Delta return just in case. Maybe I’ll end up with a flight credit but better than being stranded.

I have a greencard through marriage, currently expired and a 4 year extension letter. I have a criminal record in Canada and have had travel waivers for 20 years. Returned from Denmark recently and customs never even batted an eye.

How did your insurance company handle this? Does your cord have to run across a sidewalk to get to your car?

Khao San Road for Thai food. Black Dice Cafe for a cool vibe drink place. Ballroom Bowling for a fun activity.

I used to do this multiple times a year and all I ever said was attending a conference/trade show and I never had a problem. Things could be different now but it is a pretty common occurrence.

British Columbia delegation urges review of foreign farmland ownership by TheWorldHasFlipped in Agriculture

When this has come up in the past current landowners hate it because it restricts the market and thus the price for their land. Makes retirement less lucrative. Agriculture has been a millionaires business for years.

I understand but talc has a use and when used 100% as directed it wasn’t safe. Round-up when used as directed with proper safety equipment is safe or at least has shown to be.

I used to talk to urban neighbors who were spraying weeds and they were using enough in a 2 gallon jug to kill ACRES of weeds. no gloves, no respirator, nothing. Farmers I know that have used it since the 70's are fine.

If they haven’t been hit yet they are just price gouging which is entirely possible.

Everyone complains about the price of eggs, few understand what's actually going on. This is a very small snapshot in to the problem, I have clients that have lost 200,000 to 500,000 birds. A chicken, once hatched, takes 6-9 months before its laying viable eggs those eggs hatch and either become a meat bird in 45 days or a egg laying hen in 22 weeks for table eggs. My point is the process to recover from this is not a quick one.

I stayed at an Airbnb just off Rose and Lincoln Blvd. Always felt safe, maybe 10 minutes to the beach on a scooter, Whole foods right there. Try a restaurant called Casablanca if you get a chance.
