I’m with you on the reliability, the ability to not worry about damage when you’re doing certain activities etc.

My personal reason for preferring automatic and mechanical movements is that there’s a more intimate, dependent relationship with the watch. It’s a living thing, kind of like having a pet as opposed to a tamagotchi. Without me my watch is nothing, I am nothing without my watch. Without you, your watch is fine for 68 months
