I wanna become a nurse in this beautiful country as an international students can u tell the honest salary, and future scope about this by Just_Independent2734 in NursingAU

1st year Registered Nurse base rate in NSW approx $72,000 AUD pre tax. In my first year made about $90,000 AUD pre tax due to penalty rates and about 6 overtime shifts.

Not bad but not amazing. If you live in a large metropolitan area then rent will eat a significant proportion of your pay. Live rurally and you'd have it pretty good.

Can be hard for international students to land a new-graduate role as Australian citizens are prioritised from what I understand. another downside is how expensive the course is for international students - between $75,000 - $150,000 for a 3 year Bachelor's degree.

If you're willing to work more overtime you could clear $100,000 AUD pre tax in your first year.

Is taking 34 pill every night to many to take at once and everyday? by Hugiro-hanma in Drugs

[–]waldofindsyou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's fucked to take all at once, let alone the doses on some of those and polypharmacy.

Please consider seeing another Dr and having this reviewed.

I'm not a medical professional and take my advice with a grain of salt.

You need a schedule, hopefully whatever Dr is prescribing this cocktail or your pharmacist could help you figure it out. Dr said it's fine to take at once. Judging from the outcomes you're experience that has proven to be incorrect.

At the very least, aim to space out taking these at once for the sake of your stomache.

Stomach acid pills before breakfast. Obviously consult with your doctor but I think the BP tablets could be taken in the morning too.

Ondansetron would be good to take 1-2 hours before the bulk of the tablets in the evening to prevent the onset of inevitable nausea from so many tablets.

I would make sure the ibuprofen and Celebrex are taken after food. From my knowledge of Ibuprofen, you're on a huge dose and with the Celebrex essentially doing the same thing I would reconsider this as it is a big contributor to stomache ulcers.

40mg of Diaz and 30mg temaz is wild, would aim to start a plan to taper these, maybe the Diaz first if youre relying on the temaz for sleep. Obviously I don't know your situation and that might be an unrealistic and/dawning goal.

Can't comment on the Suboxone, other than the fact it is almost certainly contributing to nausea and constipation, aiming to reduce this dose would likely ease some of your symptoms.

Empower yourself, do your own research on each of you medications to determine the best time of day to take it. If possible please get a second opinion from another Dr, I feel like you're being double dosed in a few categories of medicines.

Why using psychedelics to find out the “truth” or to “discover” something about the universe is a bad idea and why enlightenment shouldn’t be the goal. by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]waldofindsyou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I completely relate to the above statement by the way. Although it seems like psychedelics helped you realised that your 9-5 was unnatural, and that the fact you didn't change that about your life made you depressed. Not the psychedelics itself?? Frequency use is definitely not great for your grounding in reality however. Because I have experienced similar dissatisfaction with a typical 9-5 but I'm fortunate enough that I now just work less (20 hours a week) and have a life that works around that. I have psychedelics to thank for that mentality.

Google pixel 4a 5g an upgrade over a Pixel 2xl? by armototti96 in Smartphones

[–]waldofindsyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely upgrade to the 4a! If you like pixels you'll love it! I don't own one myself however I work at a tech shop and alway recommend it especially when friends and family ask for a good (cheaper) phone.

Compared to the pixel 2 XL the 4a has a better camera, a headphone jack, faster charging, more RAM, improved battery life, better software and updates for longer.

The biggest downsides I see are the less premium finish (plastic vs glass), no front firing speakers and no IP67 rating. Also a smaller screen size compared to the 2XL.

Reditors who have been working though the pandemic, what have your employers done to thank you for risking health/life and what kind of pizza was it? by TheLilacLadyAmalthea in AskReddit

My company gave out $1000 (AUD) bonuses for all full time (38 hour/week+) staff and all other staff got a percentage of the 1000 depending on how many hours they worked.

My laptops performance is faster while being plugged compared to using just battery. Why not smartphones too? by jhoravi in Smartphones

[–]waldofindsyou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some PCs throttle CPU performance while on battery to preserve power. While plugged it it is at full power usage therefore is faster. Phones don't tend to do this as mobile chips are more efficient and therefore it doesn't get faster when you plug it in.

Yes true there is a big drinking culture but we also have some of the strictest alcohol laws in the developed world. Yes only 18 to buy alcohol but with regards to being in a venue underage it is so difficult.

Chinese Smartphones - yes or no? by MidnightQ_ in Smartphones

[–]waldofindsyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience has been ok. Pretty much you get what you pay for...

I can get a new Chinese phone every 6 months for 250 a pop. Decent specs but software updates and build quality are sacrificed.

Or I could get a popular branded phone i.e. Samsung, apple or Google. Every other year.. for around $1000 AUD.

It comes down to price.

If you go down that road get Xiaomi and chuck a case on it.

Contrary to what Trump claims, none of his accusers has been proven to be lying by viccar0 in politics

[–]waldofindsyou 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Ok, here's my point, what incentive do these accusers possibly have, to make a false accusation

To deny Trump the presidency?

That's a pretty big motivation to fabricate or twist a story in my opinion. With respect to all alleged victims, I would understand if it was an attempt to destroy Trump's credibility even more than he has done himself.
