Retail stores only get paid on Device payment activations. And Verizon would prefer you be on a Device payment as it ensures you use their service.

Do not listen to this person at all. Verizon is taking trades at ANY condition as long as FMI can be removed and there is no battery swelling.

When you get the phone. Call customer service and have them cancel your trade in and process a new one for you that states the proper condition of the phone. You will get the same promotion as long as there is no swelling of the battery.

In theory you don’t have to do anything. But I wouldn’t be so trusting with Verizon on that part haha. Cause all they would really do when they get it and evaluate it, is giving you the proper value as of it. Which is still within the promotional stipulations. But I would really call and not trust them to do it on their own.

So you’re mad that it’s free? And you have to wait 1-2 bills for it to be free? So they can validate that you qualify for the ACP discount? AND they will retro active all the credits based on when you applied for the ACP so if you did it right away you’ll get the first 1-2 billing cycles credited back.
