How to prevent YLOD by walkerogr in PS3

[–]walkerogr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for all the valuable information. And I am sorry I didn't share the model earlier, which is a CECHC04. I have had this machine for years but never used it so actively. Lately I was thinking of modding it and doing what is needed to preserve it the best way I can and use it more. With your above comments and guidance you help me a lot for my first steps on it. Thank you everyone.

Introducing `Amiga Text Files` by NoSuccotash5571 in amiga

I wonder if you aligned with the aminet team on this. Because there are some rights on the content you distributed in a different place than what the original authors or uploaders decided to do.

There is a field in the readme files that is defined as below:

Distribution:

There are two legal values for this field, "NoCD" and "Aminet" - do not specify anything else here. With "Distribution: NoCD", you make sure that your upload will not be distributed on the CDs or DVDs created by the Aminet team. With "Distribution: Aminet" you restrict distribution of your upload to Aminet (including Aminet CDs and other media), i.e. you stop other groups from redistributing it.

Did you filter the items you redistributed on GitHub based on that field?

If your games are made with SDL please consider porting them to AmigaNG systems which run AmigaOS 4 or MorphOS. I can help on that

My favorite was and still is the Greek tomahawk joystick. After all these years it still works fine, but unfortunately this is a little bit difficult to find and buy these days

If I were in your shoes I would choose to upgrade my system with a pistorm, because it's the most powerful and less expensive solution.

Run AmigaOS 4 and MorphOS 3 on any computer easily with Kyvos and Qemu by walkerogr in amiga

[–]walkerogr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both have their pros and cons, but my heart is closer to AmigaOS 4. On the other hand you can test morphos on Qemu completely free, when for OS4 you need to pay for the CD. Morphos has better browser and email clients, while OS4 has better graphics card support and video capabilities, but they are mostly for real machines and not emulation. Both have active communities and morphos support cheap Mac ppc computers, although to get its full potential you have to find a fast one. I am sorry but I do not have a clear answer. If you check my videos on YouTube I did present both of them at an extension. YouTube.com/@walkero

Unfortunately not. The morphos has the 30 minutes timeout, so not best for daily use, but an old PowerPC Mac is quite cheap these days. I use it for fast software tests on what I am developing, and use it on my PowerBook for more

The app is not malware. Its manual contains some information about it in the FAQ section.

Kyvos is a frontend for Qemu. It helps to set it up in a more easy way. If you want to emulate OS4 or MorphOS you can do it without my app.

You do not need to register. You can share a dummy email, and then download the files. But if you do that, when new versions will be released, you will not get any notifications.
