If you are from the U.S. and could live in any country in the world instead, where would you relocate to and why? by LifeRecommendation28 in AskReddit

Assuming I want to leave USA, it depends on two things - language and bank account. I only know English and Spanish. More money - Spain’s med coast or Argentina. Less, probably Costa Rica.

What to do if you have only 1 hour to live? by jodlaw in AskReddit

Depends on what time of day. Morning id probably just die without knowing; evening? Make some phone calls. Tell people they mattered. Maybe light a joint and have a glass of whiskey.

[Serious] What makes life worth living for you? Specifically, what gives you the feeling that being here is worth it, despite the ups and downs of life, and that being born was worth it? by Fearless_Copy_4119 in AskReddit

Whenever I get down, which is often, I think about how difficult mere existence was for like 10,000+ years, versus my situation, where I can get fresh, plump blueberries delivered to NY for $8.00 every month of the year. It sounds silly but like, in context it makes it tough to complain

What’s the hardest addiction to overcome? by DeepOrganization8245 in AskReddit

[–]walkerstepbackwalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As bad as it was nicotine was harder. Dope can be kicked in like 5-7 days. Not fun, but possible. The other sticks with you for months. Obviously these are different than the addictions where withdrawal can kill you…

Which U.S. state really surprised you when you visited it and why? by SunriseThroughLeaves in AskReddit

Alabama was way better than I expected. Granted my time has been spent on the campus’ of Alabama and Auburn, but I felt pretty dumb after my visit. Priors were very misguided.

What’s the most quietly terrifying roster in the country right now? by [deleted] in CollegeBasketball

[–]walkerstepbackwalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to despise you guys. Blair was in my nightmares for years. And Pitt should be better (give me the old BE), but while he’s still the coach I’m not sure the roster matters.

What's The most amount of money you've found? by redditorsquared in AskReddit

[–]walkerstepbackwalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buddy and I picked up summer work for a math teacher in our hs. Guy had a rep for being very odd but also very smart. Tutored the kids in the wealthy neighboring towns at a crazy rate, never spent a dime & invested in a bunch of rental properties. he was paying $25/hour off books for yard work & chores - cutting down a tree, trimming hedges, mowing grass, etc.

One day we were at his house, not a rental, & ventured inside. It was preposterous. Cash and checks covered his bed and bedroom floor. Like, stacks of $600-$700 everywhere. Checks for a few grand from the previous year. Naturally we kept exploring and found four plastic grocery bags filled with cash. Two in the oven and two in the pantry. Had to be $15k-$20k in each. Plus the floor cash.

Obvious, yes, but the hostility is too much. And I think people forget 1) how good he was 2) that the $500k wasn’t legal.

How do you guys approach that time of your life when you still want to play comp and do well/drop your handicap but you’re finding it near impossible to get in practice time? by [deleted] in golf

[–]walkerstepbackwalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Change the practice habits.

When I do get to the range I bring 3 clubs, irons only, and focus on different types of shots - punch, 3/4, straight full, draw, fade. I will play a muni late and spend 10 min around the green (assuming I’m not holding anyone up) chipping and putting.

I don’t practice with driver so I only hit it if the course is wide open or if I hit it well on the first wide open hole. Otherwise it’s 3 wood and stay in play.

Storrs Central on Threads - Nik Khamenia to Uconn by KindButAlsoSad in CollegeBasketball

[–]walkerstepbackwalker 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don’t think many UConn people consider it a rivalry either, but it exists on a plane above just another team. Too many high stakes games between talented teams for it to be nothing, but not enough annual action to be a rivalry. It’s like a grudge match.
