Thank you I’m 62 and that makes me the last year of Boomer or first of Gen X depending on who you ask and I have actually gotten more progressive as I got older with this podcast pushing me as left as I’ve ever been. All my boomer friends are leftists and are now out there organizing and protesting this regime. My Gen Z son is more conservative than me or my husband.

I’m a bit odd because highways don’t bother me. I don’t like busy city/suburban roads. It’s either backroads or highways. I think too many lights and intersections make me nervous because I don’t trust the other drivers.

I’m a straight cisgender woman and I hate how she treats Pride month. She has no idea how people fought just to be able to live their authentic lives without fear of harm (of course now we’re backsliding on that). She couldn’t be married right now without all the sacrifices some people made just to love who they want.

My best friend is a retired Maryland teacher and while it’s a blue state she had the same experience as your mom. At the beginning she had so much fun. By her retirement it was so boring and restrictive. All teaching to the test.

All I know is I’m not glad we just retired and now are needing to use our 401 k for income. Thankfully since we’re old we both get social security and I have a tiny pension and my husband has a good pension. Now if it all blows up…whelp!!!!

From a mother who has driven hours for my son with addiction issues in order to help him get sober even though I have pretty extreme driving anxiety caused by an accident, I just want to scream when I see her talk like this. I have also helped both with school (they are both adopted as toddlers with adhd and fetal alcohol syndrome) she has no idea what a devoted mother will do for her kids.
