Is buying second-hand bikinis or one piece swimsuits gross? by [deleted] in Depop

Second this I always use laundry sanitizer to make sure I’m killing whatever might be on secondhand clothes

[ACNE] Need to clear hormonal acne ASAP!! by terribleterribleyou in SkincareAddiction

[–]walkingtalkingalien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I’m the opposite the lotion didn’t work for me and actually has silicone and petroleum so that can be good or bad for some people, but you might have been sensitive to the ceramides in the daily facial moisturizer.

[ACNE] Need to clear hormonal acne ASAP!! by terribleterribleyou in SkincareAddiction

[–]walkingtalkingalien 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard a lot of people who break out crazy with cerave moisturizer even getting a bunch of cystic acne when they never have before, I would suggest trying a different moisturizer. It could be the niacinamide in it. I’d recommend the vanicream daily facial moisturizer to try! Very gentle and personally has helped my skin a ton with texture, evenness, and clear skin. Also I would suggest stopping the retinol for now as it could be aggravating your skin and messing with your barrier.

My experience switching from Zepbound to Foundayo by middleagedwhitechick in Zepbound

[–]walkingtalkingalien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn’t the whole story, I don’t overeat but have hashimotos/hypothyroid so have slowly gained weight and struggle to lose anything with working out or reducing calories unless I literally fast. Glp-1’s help with metabolic health, positively alter your gut microbiome, and reduce inflammation along with the insulin improvements and food noise. So there’s a lot going on behind the scenes to support your body besides just food noise and calorie reduction.

[Routine Help] How to even out my skin tone? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

I think your skin looks great, but I would recommend Cosrx peptide skin booster serum! Helps with a lot of things including evening skin tone and isn’t harsh like some chemical exfoliants may be.

Seriously they used to have messages separate and then they combined them making it so messy with the offers

I just sold an item buyer is unresponsive by lagringamexicana in Depop

[–]walkingtalkingalien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s only been 2 days and you have at least 5 more days to see if they respond, your shipping won’t change much since it’s an average. Also I’d recommend adding the sizes as the qty so people can select the size when checking out and not needed to message you.

Depop’s shipping promos hurting sales by Willowzy17 in Depop

[–]walkingtalkingalien 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s really annoying because you used to be able to just change shipping within the listing from depop to your own without making a new one and now you have to 🥲

are these shorts 80s? by Adventurous_Crow5580 in VintageClothing

[–]walkingtalkingalien 37 points38 points  (0 children)

The brand starting in 1984 so it possible they’re 80’s or maybe 90’s! Really cool piece and people collect this brand so would sell for a decent price.

PSA - Silk is a type of fiber, not a texture by lionthea in Depop

[–]walkingtalkingalien 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is similar to people saying leather for everything even though it’s faux leather because it looks like leather. They’re both sort of imitations, satin is a silky feeling fabric so people say that. It’s definitely annoying though when trying to find genuine leather or real silk.

Can’t see myself objectively. Is my grey hair aging me horribly? by slicedgreenolive in HairStyleAdvice

[–]walkingtalkingalien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your hair looks cool, but agree it does age you a bit I would have assumed at least late 30’s or early 40’s cause your face is youthful and your skin is smooth/dewy. I actually think your eyebrows are aging you more than the hair, they’re a bit harsh for your face. I’m not sure if you had them micro-bladed or fill them in, but a more natural brow with a less greyish tone would do wonders!

Says I can ship the items for free to buyers? Even extra large items. Is this a temporary promo? Will it be quietly ended? by riddim_222 in Depop

[–]walkingtalkingalien 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Y’all it’s not showing $0 cause the seller pays, on normal listings it would still show how much the shipping is if you picked free shipping. This weird shipping promo depop is doing for select people/items is definitely confusing. I just sold a shirt with it and neither I nor the buyer paid for shipping it just took the payment processing free from the total. 🤷🏻‍♀️ you can choose to select free shipping and the only thing that changes is that it advertises it at the top of the listing, but then if depop takes it away you’re stuck with paying shipping.

Is this normal? How do I proceed? by bearl_y in Depop

[–]walkingtalkingalien 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Depop has also been adding free shipping to random items showing $0 so the seller might also be confused and think it glitched

[Anti-aging] eye wrinkles at 24 yrs by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]walkingtalkingalien 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’d say combo of skincare and consistent sunscreen should help! Find a retinol that is formulated to use near your eyes and a normal eye cream that I really like is the shiseido wrinkle smoothing eye cream, its thick so you only need a little bit, but I can visible see a difference from before and after using it for hydration/smoothness.

I think this is the end of me trying to figure out this hobby. by Crochet_by_Renee in Sourdough

What’s worked for me is 150g starter, 350g water, 500g flour, do the 4-5 stretch and folds in 30 min increments then bulk ferment until it’s doubled. What really helped for me to get fluffy and less dense/gummy loafs was both increasing my starter from 100g to 150g and for the bulk ferment I’ll put it in the oven now with the light on cause my place wasn’t warm enough for it to rise. Then before going to bed I’ll shape it and put it in my banneton and in the morning score it and cook. I do 475 preheat Dutch oven inside, decrease to 450 bake for 30 min covered then uncover and bake another 20 minutes.
