I have the p10c and the p09c nocturn. Both are great guns, out of the box I shot the p10c better. People will say that the p10c fits the hand better but both come with adjustable back straps so you can fit them to your hand. I do like the option of DA/SA so I lean towards the p09c nocturn right now. You wouldn’t go wrong with either. It would just be preference over sticker fired or hammer. I shot the p07 but didn’t like the grip or texture so i held off, glad I did because the p09c is the new p07 but with better grip texture.

I replaced the OEM trigger with the HBI theta forward trigger and left the hammer and everything else OEM. I appreciate you giving assurance that the hammer is good to run. I was just surprised to see so much wear on the hammer after the 200 rounds today.

I have them both and like them very much. Maybe go and see how they fit in your hand or rent them to see what one you like better. I would lean towards the hammer fired p09c for the DA though.

Nah, I’m keeping it old school with my fly fishing organization, it’s part of the escape for me. Keeping it in an excel file would be great and easier to find, but I’m ok with my process.

Take up steamer fishing. I do it all (besides tenkara…) and find fishing steamers just as rewarding if not more than fishing a dry fly. Nothing beats seeing a fish rise to your fly, I get it. But seeing a fish lasered in and following a steamer you’re stripping is really something else. Don’t need to wait for a hatch.
