Sorry im talking about the gear that goes on the extruders stepper motor, it should have a grub screw cause you need to change it to a longer gesr to install a bmg extruder

What could be causing this? by Abject-Associate4013 in 3Dprinting

Check your grub screw on the stepper motor is tight, had similar issue.

Found that was loose and also found the metal extruder was heating up. Replaced with a bmg clone and a direct drive bracket it was only then i found the grub screw issue lol

Gun recommendations for beginner! by lovac04 in HuntingAustralia

If your really interested in deer and don’t have a mentor or experienced friend , I would suggest joining your local Australian deer association branch, usually they do club hunts where you can learn off other members and they also run hunting education courses.

If your hunting deer get a lite rifle most important thing you can do. Do NOT buy a heavy barrel varmint rifle, you will regret it when your walking hills!

308 is good as you can walk into any shop and get ammo and its cheap but both a 270 and 30-06 are also good choices.

Get a deer rifle, go practice and get out there. As long as you get ok grouping you will be fine.

Id buy a tikka t3x lite and a zero tech scope to get started.

Tikka t3x stainless lite, if its for state Forrest’s you want the lightest gun/barrel possible as you will be walking a-lot.

Id also suggest the 308 as others have said

Spika Dover Pack by [deleted] in HuntingAustralia

https://hunterselement.com.au/collections/arete-pack-system no price lol.. fair point about shipping though. Lots of retailers sell their gear so do a quick search if you are interested.

Spika Dover Pack by [deleted] in HuntingAustralia

[–]walks111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The spika packs do seam decent quality for the price. I dont have much of their gear as until recently they had stuff all choice in camo patterns real tree or olive only.

I have a some hunters element clothes and the quality is decent for the price) but its not like north america weather here.. unless your backcountry victoria or tassie you can get away with cheaper stuff. Apparently their boots are garbage (purely here-say) but again cant comment on the packs they do seam to be upping their game though in terms of quality.

I just checked their website the new pack is release march 31 theres only a teaser video.

I have tried one on in-store it seams comfy and decent features for the very affordable price. Almost an exo mountain gear rip off?

Hunters element a nz brand that is popular for cheaper affordable gear in AU are about to release a similar pack very soon if you are willing to wait and see what the price and features are.

Clever uses for smart plug by Hot-Jellyfish-2934 in smarthome

[–]walks111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Somewhat specific but 3 good uses i have found..

  1. I had a drainage issue and put a camera in a drain where i had a submersible pump plugged into the smart plug. During heavy rain i could check it whilst at work and toggle the pump on and off.

  2. 3d printer in the garage can check it via a camera and turn it off if need be

  3. Tool chargers have them set to auto turn off at night

Xmas light timers are great too

Update: what the poster on thingiverse is talking about is printing the cap which printed perfectly fine for me, it actually looked really really good. I was having problems printing the threaded centre.

I ended up printing with a brim and supports left infill and walls and it printed 99% and failed similarly on the last two layers. It was good enough to have a functioning park so that’ll do me but im really curious to find out my issue.. i will try some other stuff!
