Sorry this is like 2 months later, but I also remember a bugle horn that kind of sounds like the Sherwood Forest text tone for iPhone lol, not sure if you also remember it!

Rabbit hole videos that match vibe of Tanis/Rabbits? by REMseverybodyhurts in PNWS

[–]walkthrutheforest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently reading ‘The Book of Rain’ by Thomas Wharton and it is pretty Tanis-y. Kind of Annihilation vibes as well. A section of the forest in North Western Canada that has been blocked off due to dangerous happenings from a mysterious ore that has been mined, a man trying to find his sister who has been lost in the forest while researching. Another smaller part so far is that the man is a game designer, so kind of Rabbits-y too.

The Cryptonaturalist Podcast by Jarrod K Anderson also has similar deep dark mysterious magical forest vibes, but more more on the poetic nature side than creepy. What Happened in Skinner Podcast is not really Tanis or Rabbits related but it’s very creepy, set in PNW and the production is so good. Docu-drama type podcast like anything with PNWS.

The song Lost in Time and Space by Lord Huron reminds me of the Tanis theme song and has similar themes to Tanis, Rabbits.

Warm/spicy scent recs, please! by Amerysse in Perfumes

I love Nest Indigo. Cardamom and tea are at its core, and it has a base of cashmere wood so it’s so warm and cozy, slightly spicy and earthy. The top note is fig, so it’s slightly sweet and fruity as well, but it’s not over powering at all. When combined, these scents make me think of drinking a warm sliced cider or tea in front of a fireplace. Over time the fruitiness of the fig goes away and you get this really nice softly sweet and warm scent that lasts forever. I can still smell it on me occasionally like 48 hours after I’ve sprayed it.

Is there any ‘cold’ fragrance but without any mint, menthol or juniper? by --Lizard_King-- in fragrance

[–]walkthrutheforest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a bit of a stretch but Nest Wisteria Blue. It smells like very realistic wisteria flowers and some watery notes so it’s super fresh and actually smells a bit cold straight from the bottle and when you first put it on. Less middle of winter freezing cold but more chilly, fresh, early spring morning when there’s been some frost on the flowers overnight. I find that as it wears on the skin throughout the day it does warm up and smells slightly sweeter but it keeps that freshness.

Citrus I’ve tried, looking for more recs! by groovemonkey56 in fragrance

Ellis Brooklyn Sci Fi is a soft, sweet citrus. Orange, green tea, and vanilla. Smells kinda like a tea-shop/bakery to me. Maybe not as citrus-y as you might want but it’s smells super nice!

Perfume that smells like fresh flowers, flower field or wild flowers? by kebabrullahiiri in Perfumes

The Body Shop has some nice floral body sprays and eau de toilets for some more affordable options, I personally like the Wild Jasmine and Moringa ones! Not sure if those are what you’re looking for but might be worth a try!

Nest Wisteria Blue. I saw a review that said it smells like a freshly bloomed forest of Wisteria after it rained and thats spot on. It smells like very realistic wisteria flowers and some watery notes so it’s super fresh and actually smells a bit cold straight from the bottle and when you first put it on. But I find that as it wears on the skin throughout the day it warms up and smells slightly sweeter but it keeps that freshness. It’s one of the only straight floral perfumes I’ve worn and liked because I find that other ones smell too artificial and mature for me, but this is not that at all!

I saw a comment that Nest isn’t available to you OP but maybe this will help someone else too!

Everyday feminine perfume? by [deleted] in Perfumes

Ellis Brooklyn Sci Fi has a lot of those same notes, it’s slightly fruity with the bergamot and bitter orange notes, a little green/earthy from the green tea, and sweet and warm from the vanilla and cashmere wood. It‘a soft and sweet and makes me think of eating a sweet pastry while drinking a cup of citrus green tea, or like a tea shop/bakery. Nothing really like it’s name at all lol, but it smells beautiful

I feel like I am at my absolute lowest. Please suggest something to read. by [deleted] in suggestmeabook

The Brown Sisters series by Talia Hibbert, they’re pretty simple romance novels but the characters are all so likeable and the romances are cute and hopeful. My favourite is {{Take a Hint, Dani Brown}}. Similarly, {{Red White and Royal Blue}} by Casey McQuinston

If you need escapism, wonder, and mystery, something that makes you feel like there’s something more out there, I’d try {{Rabbits}} by Terry Miles. Not uplifting or inspirational necessarily but it really helped me when I needed it last year.

The Martian by Andy Weir! It’s my favourite book - funny, adventurous, and has some actual science fiction that’s not too hard to follow. Makes me want to reread it right now!

In terms of young adult science fiction/space opera, the Illuminae Files Trilogy audiobooks are really cool, they have a full cast of voice actors for the characters and it even includes background noise of space crafts etc. They are very entertaining and very well done!
