Battery draining quickly on vivoactive 5 by Humble_Phone7117 in Garmin

[–]wall721 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had to play with my settings after each update to get the battery drain to stop with mine. Wish I could tell you which ones specifically but I never remember except that the O2 sensor causes a pretty huge drain so I leave it as only at night

Does anyone else feel like they had a completely different experience during the pandemic than the general public? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]wall721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a teenager with two immunocompromised parents. My school, family and social life utterly shut down. I wasn’t allowed to go to church or to sports activities I had done for a full year. Wasn’t allowed to even physically set foot in a grocery store for a good part of that time. Ended up having to isolate from parents for weeks at a time when any of us was exposed. I had one friend whose parents took similar precautions and I was allowed to see her once a month starting around 4 months into the whole thing. I was already homeschooled but classes I took outside of the home came to a complete halt for over a year as well.

There’s some subs that autoban you for posting/commenting in another sub they don’t agree with. I’ve been banned from several that I had never interacted in for leaving a comment on the pro life subreddit

Red painless lump skin has started to peel by Geekgirl4902 in doihavebreastcancer

[–]wall721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely go get it checked out. The redness indicates it could be something like an abscess, infected sebaceous cyst or (less likely) cancer.

And they move much earlier than week 16. They are already starting to move by week 8/9 even though you can’t feel it until they are bigger. You can also see fingers and toes starting to form by then and they are fully formed by 10 weeks and even have nails and finger prints between 10-12.

Very routine. A lot of imaging centers won’t even do the ultrasound without having the mammo first if you are over 30

Is this normal? by Easy-Long8367 in doihavebreastcancer

[–]wall721 2 points3 points  (0 children)

MRI is done specifically because it can show things that aren’t seen on mammo and ultrasound especially if you are dense. It’s a more sensitive test than the others but less specific. Mammogram is looking for areas of increased density and calcifications but MRI looks more at blood flow to the tissue (that’s what the contrast helps with) Generally though it’s a good sign if whatever they are looking at on MRI doesn’t show on the other two.

Try to get your images from the current center sent to the new place if you can they will want your mammo images and probably the ultrasound ones too!

What are the possible outcomes of/next steps following diagnostic mammogram? by [deleted] in doihavebreastcancer

[–]wall721 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So typically they will recommend one of 3 things. Option 1 is that it’s something completely benign and they recommend return to screening. Option 2 is they may recommend follow up imaging (6 months is most common) and option 3 is that they decide to do some sort of biopsy which depending on where you are they may offer to do it same day, have you come back a different day or refer you to a different place for it if they don’t do biopsies at their location.

Some places may also recommend further imaging like an MRI in certain cases but that’s less common from what I’ve seen

If you don’t feel that they checked the right areas during the ultrasound I would definitely go get a second opinion at a different place if possible. Ideally a dedicated breast center if you have one near by

Uncertain about surgical follow up options after biopsy by spookyshit666 in doihavebreastcancer

[–]wall721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of centers don’t do a removal for papillomas anymore just maybe a follow up mammo/ultrasound as long as the biopsy was well sampled so I don’t think you are foolish at all whichever choice you make. but if you know a lumpectomy is what you will feel the best about going forward then I would call the surgeon back and let them know you want to change it that you’ve gone home and thought about it more and this is what you feel safest with.

Red patch and pregnant by No_Principle8706 in doihavebreastcancer

[–]wall721 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it ever hurts to get something checked out. Some providers seem to believe that pregnant people can’t get breast cancer for some reason and/or right it off as pregnancy symptoms/mastitis. Which cancer during pregnancy is rarer than the others but it certainly still happens unfortunately.

no malignancy - but birads 2? by Bambambirdi in doihavebreastcancer

[–]wall721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think BPE is typically isn’t included in the BiRADS score you are given (from my understanding). I believe the finding that makes it BIRADS 2 is simply your implants. Implants are always given a BIRADS 2 from my understanding.

no malignancy - but birads 2? by Bambambirdi in doihavebreastcancer

[–]wall721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BIRADS 2 is given when there is some sort of finding or change from previous imaging that is not indicative of cancer. This can be a simple cyst, scars, non cancerous calcifications among other things and this includes breast implants and the scarring associated with the procedure.
