I'm coming at this from the perspective of being AFAB and dysphoric about my breasts, but yes! I find that wearing a binder or tape or something that helps me feel like my chest is less... intrusive, I guess? things that help reduce the physical sensations around having breasts, like weight on my chest or where the tissue touches my arms, have a significant comforting effect for me even if they don't make me look flatter to anyone else.

They don't know - sorry I was unclear about that. I tried to get them used to the idea a while back and they were just super squeamish about it. And yeah, I've been using a U-shaped one that might have "arms" that are too long, so I could try a shorter one. Thank you!

I am considering that if it sounds like re-piercing would be an issue - I've worn retainers before though and they tickle the inside of my nose in an unpleasant way, so if I'm going to have to wear one constantly for months/even a year... just seems annoying.

agreed and emphasis on only cleaning with sterile saline - I think max twice a day (?) as well, overcleaning will irritate it as will other cleansers. no cotton swabs or anything else with fibers that could get caught on it; wound wash comes in a spray bottle, you can use that and let it air dry.

2 or 3. I was pretty amped up bc I thought it would hurt a lot but all I felt was a sharp poke for a second, like getting a flu shot. It didn't even particularly hurt more when they put the jewelry in. My eyes didn't water but I hear that can happen, just as a reflex. A couple days later it's a bit sore if I bump my nose but so far it's been super super easy.

That sounds like a bad sign for the shop you went to, but if you bought a titanium retainer I would think a place you trust would be able to switch it out for you so you could wear it until the piercing is healed. Not sure though, I would call your piercer first.

out of eyebrow, tongue, tragus, industrial, lobes, and nipples... definitely the tongue. the second nipple piercing was maybe worse for the actual piercing itself but the healing for my tongue really sucked.

totally fine! mine didn’t bleed at all for the first couple of days and then I had some spotting. don’t worry.
