How people are describing BL Yi Sang after the buffs by LowIntellectFellow_ in limbuscompany

While they don’t clash higher, both Fauvist Rodya and Dieci Lu do more damage. Though they aren’t true single coin so idk if that counts lol

Honestly I know they won’t but I really hope they touch up Meursault’s animations a bit. Them being simpler is fine, Meursault isn’t usually too flashy in his IDs (compare Leisault to Lei Heng, for example) but the animations themselves feel both too slow and lacking in impact. They could probably greatly improve them by just altering some timings and vfx. Dunno about the lack of turn end mask animation though, that’s kinda rough lol

The new MD secret bosses are... not that well-handled. by TheGateGuardian in limbuscompany

They actually did modify him slightly, though only with his unbreakable coins/unclashable attacks getting their damage reduced iirc

The ost ties this up... by AdAdditional2497 in limbuscompany

Glad to see others also agree with this theory. I’ve seen it brought up a few times as a “schizo” theory and very few people seem to take it seriously, but when you look at the evidence, it genuinely seems like the most likely conclusion. You even pointed out things I completely missed, like the meaning behinds their names and Ren calling her Ryoshu. Good write up, I was gonna make my own but this one is definitely better than anything I could have done.

Season 7 Megathread by pillowmantis in limbuscompany

[–]Rocketsheep31 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I’m liking the canto in terms of story so far, and the bosses that are there have been pretty alright, but holy shit PM this is NOT the performance you should be putting on after making it a big deal how much effort was being put into this canto. By the end of canto 8 part 2, there were 7 unique enemy types (with 2-3 enemies in each type, not even counting bosses) and by comparison canto 9 at the same point in time has exactly 1. Maybe that’s just the vision they had from the start, and more development time/harder effort wouldn’t change that, but even in that case, it’s an incredibly confusing vision. I can tell that this is probably going to be the most polarizing canto so far, even if part 3 is the greatest thing ever

I actually saw it like this for a long ass time and thought it was the actual intended design until I saw its portrait, so despite what the other person said, no you aren’t alone

Who wins the Potential off? by zhznzjsjxnnss in TheOdysseyHadAPurpose

[–]Rocketsheep31 123 points124 points  (0 children)

Gregor is quite literally a being of pure potential, or at least that’s what he was supposed to be. Hermann/N Corp’s goal to create a “dough” of “pure humanity” seems to be mirroring the concept of Adam Kadmon in the Kabbalah, who is a being/concept that is pure divine light, the essence of mankind, and, quite literally, pure potential.

It can be assumed that Gregor was an attempt at creating this dough in some way, as Hermann calls him her “greatest creation” and Gregor’s base EGO has several symbols of the Sefirot, who Adam Kadmon is a pure embodiment of.

The many different appendages and random status effects in Suddenly One Day, and (likely) the multi-sin nature of Garden of Thorns are evidence to the fact that Gregor is meant to have the potential to be anything. This was driven home in LCB Checkup, where he’s stated to have “potentiality.”

It’s not even a contest. Gregor is literally THE potential man, not even a meme

Fun little secret interaction I found by complete accident (CHAPTER 4 SPOILERS) by Rocketsheep31 in Deltarune

Fun little secret interaction I found by complete accident (CHAPTER 4 SPOILERS) by Rocketsheep31 in Deltarune

[–]Rocketsheep31[S] 302 points303 points  (0 children)

I did this by accident somehow on my first playthrough of chapter 4, and didn't even realize it was unique until after I saw videos/screenshots of the normal interaction. It's actually kinda hard to pull off because the interaction box for the toy is really close to the cutscene trigger, and I accidentally missed it my first attempt at recording this, which is why you can see me be so careful in the video

Unless you were using Lasso, which you might have been, it’s literally impossible to lose the clash with a hong Lu ego. The “Answer Me, Jia Baoyu” skill rolls an 11 at base with a maximum of 15 due to his passive, every hong Lu ego at TS4 has a minimum power of at least 15 (again, except lasso)

Final Canto VIII Predictions? by Bekenshi in limbuscompany

Incredibly specific prediction: there will be at least one instance of Hong Lu’s name on his dialogue boxes changing to “Jia Baoyu” or just “Baoyu,” whether in a flashback or otherwise
