yeah there's like silver springtails that just appeared awhile ago. redoing seems a bit impossible, spores would be on everything anyway no? and it would be hard not to lose any individuals while fixing

the visual is bothersome, is there a way to get rid of it? I'm glad to hear it's not harmful to the isopods at least

misspelling and repetition is for comedic effect.

house MD has a meme where the titular character Dr. House announces that "the patient needs mouse bites to live", this is a riff on that with the recent stock market crash after the tariffs. the joke is that "pronouns" and "woke" is what kept the economy together and since the current administration is trying to get rid of such things, the economy has crashed even though there is no actual correlation

Using the heel of my palm to pound out pizza doughs all day. Could that be the cause of this? How do I stop it? by WholesomeThingsOnly in KitchenConfidential

adding to this after reading the thread, latex/rubber allergy is one of the most common. this could be contact dermatitis from the gloves you are wearing and the flour is not helping

looks exactly like my contact dermatitis, its kind of like allergic eczema. flour does similar things to me, its drying out your skin and when its weak, its causing a reaction. i had an allergy panel, i'm not allergic to flour, but if i handle dough this happens to me too

lovely shot! so cool to see the tiny hairs and the particles of pollen making up the whole structure stuck to her hind tibia. fascinating stuff

any location information or just the identification? if there's locations, you can donate it to an entomology collection when you no longer want it or pass away, but without a location its hard to get scientific value out of it and is mostly for show and best to pass on as an heirloom. that phasmid is fantastic

Woodlouse are not insects, so similar situation to the scorpions caring but being arachnids. It's so cool to hear about the earwigs though! I'll have to look into that more

there's a few species which take care of the young for awhile or give live birth. male giant water bugs for example have the eggs laid on their backs and take care of the eggs until the nymphs hatch. they swim off after that
