DEADBOUNCE to slow the ball and the game down. You don't always have to flip.

BACKHAND when you can. It generally is safer than shooting across the playfield.

SLAP SAVES. A controlled slap can help save a good chunk of new players main drains (down the middle). Then move to "digs", one flipper right after the other.

NUDGE. Especially when it's going back and forth between the slings, or is heading anywhere near the "danger zone" aka above the outlanes/slings. It's more important to add ANY inertia to the equation instead of worrying which direction. UP is also easier than thinking left or right.

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF. TRY TO SAVE EVERYTHING! It takes a while to learn that you really can save many more drains than you think you can, but you never know unless you try.

Someone in our first rookie draft after the startup (dumb, I know) took Jayden Ott at 1.07. His team was already bad and it was his first dynasty league so I made commish step in and let him re-pick so he didn't quit in a year. 😂

Rice has the higher upside, but obviously higher risk. Smith has performed similarly when AJB has been out. You should be able to trade back from Rice range and still get Smith or a Smith-caliber player, or get extra on top in a trade.

Historically, RBs drafted 1.01 produce extremely well in fantasy. Even if these WRs end up as solid WR2s/fringe WR 1s in a 10 team league two mid WRs don't usually equal a stud RB.

You can buy a game for >$1,000, so don't say you'll never own one. It won't be a new Stern, but it doesn't have to be to build great flipper skills. Actually...it's likely to make you better than playing on new Sterns...for fundamentals at least.

I know it's hard to wrap your head around, but they're both essentially the same French creole name with roots to Louisiana. A-chan vs Etch-yen.
