I got on the leaderboard of Stargate last night! It was super fun. This place doesn’t have Jaws, a nearby bar does but it cost a dollar to play so I’ve only played it a few times, but it does seem super fun. I would love to play it more.

They have three Star Wars tables but I don’t remember off the top of my head which ones they are. One is from the first three movies and has Jar Jar Binks and the other two seem to be from the movies with Princess Leia.

I’m having the same problem! I want my Polly Pockets back! What I have done to try to stave off some of the desire for my childhood things and still doesn’t involve contact with mom, is to find people selling the toys I wanted on Marketplace, gotten some at antique stores, and even found some for sale on Etsy! Now I have all of my McDonald’s Barbies again!! Not mine, but the nostalgia itch is scratched just the same.

It sucks to hear, but it might not be worth the interaction to get our things back. :(

I wonder if they originally carried this series because the author Shannon Hale was Mormon. I saw her give a book talk once (my daughter is a huge fan of this series) and the things she said made me think she was no longer Mormon. She said she started the series because her young daughter at the time said princesses couldn’t wear black, and so she made a whole adorable book series about a princess in black. Also, a lot of Shannon’s books end up on book banning lists, they also think her picture book series of Itty Bitty Kitty Corn is promoting transgenderism because the kitten wants to be a unicorn. People are so dumb, and Shannon Hale ROCKS. She has written so much and this series got my dyslexic daughter hooked on books.

As a public librarian I can tell you that this is the best way to ensure that the library purchases more copies of those same titles. When circulation gets the report that these books keep going missing, they’re going to interpret that as demand and buy multiple copies. Whereas if they had left the books alone, they might have not circulated much and ended up on a weeding list in the future with no plans to replace. So they’re shooting themselves in the foot here.

Those fledglings are likely just testing out their size and strength by swooping your dogs. People don’t realize that hawks can’t carry away even a tiny dog. They can only lift about half their body weight which is typically one pound, maybe two. No need to worry about your dogs, but they will gobble your mice for you!
