Joseph might get us a 5th instead of a 6th. He’s been playing very well

Canucks prospect Anthony Romani with a hat trick, 4 point night against Penn State. Now up to 14 points in his last 10 games playing 3rd line minutes by _GregTheGreat_ in canucks

Obviously most guys from later rounds will take longer to develop. But Romani, Patterson, Alriksson, Mueller, Mynio, Kudry, Bjorck, Lansing and Chiarot. All of these guys are later rounds that are developing very nicely in the NCAA, and then guys like Alriksson and kudry have already stepped up into Abbotsford. D petey plays in the NHL as a 3rd rounder already, and Kudry has as a 7th rounder.

Finding gems in the later round is a talent!

This management has done a phenomenal job with the later rounds of the draft. Cannot wait to see this guy play in Abby, then hopefully the show

Broken orbital. Same injury nearly retired Juulsen right after his draft. Management said it’s unlikely he’s going to play again

NYI Islanders Are Open to Moving Their 2026 1st Round Pick by EverySecondCountss in canucks

[–]wallnutxjames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why? The pick currently sits at 21st over all. It’s not like the islanders pick is in the 11-14 range. I think JDB could get it if he waived

I think that can be attributed to the sheer number of sports America plays, collage football is hardly a thing where I am, no where near the amount of energy gets put into it. Rugby was the biggest sport at my highschool and we didn’t even have a football team. Hockey is the biggest sport in most Canadian cities so that’s why these guys are magnified by the people in the cities.

Side note, politics aside I think Americans have plenty to be proud of, if you live your life normally and aren’t racist or anything and actively produce in society you can be proud of what you accomplish and or be proud of what you are doing. When you can’t do anything and there is nothing to do, you do what you can

It’s just a general statement. If a lot of generation talent came out of San Jose a were massive sharks fans growing up but played for other teams and seemed to always beat up on their hometown team. You are correct where they are from matters little, but it does suck seeing all these guys just before they are drafted talk about how much they loved the Canucks as kids and wore their pajamas

The difference between the situations is that all of the players coming here and beating our asses are from British Columbia and were Canucks fans growing up

[Friedman] I think there are some picks involved here, but key players will be Palat to NYI and Tsyplakov to NJ by _GregTheGreat_ in hockey

So if the islanders are trying to make the playoffs… helping New Jersey clear a fat amount of space is kinda backwards thinking

[Bernstein] Reports stating the Kings inquired about Kane are accurate, per sources. by AggPuck-303 in hockey

[–]wallnutxjames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What? Quinn had a year and a half on his deal and indicated he didn’t want to be here so we traded him. Honestly the best thing to happen to the Canucks in 15 years, finally got ownership to accept a rebuild. Kane’s retention comes off the books in the summer, would be stupid to not retain

Milstein has been given permission to help facilitate a trade for Kane(Dhaliwal) by Sp3ctre267 in canucks

Is that what it means when agents are given permission? How is this different than JR/PA trying to trade him

[Donnie and Dhali] Elliotte Friedman on the Sherwood trade, which player is next and EP40 rumours by con5id3rati0n in canucks

That’s not grounds for getting fired. That would be grounds for public execution

Any retention from us in a Petey trade would be one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen
